A sandwich is so much more than the filling. I start with freshly baked wholemeal bread spread with butter, shock, horror, the the food police Nazis will be running around now like headless chickens, but margarine, really, who wants margarine, not even flies settle on margarine. There are so many fillings we can make, my favourite would be what I fancy at the time, I do like cream cheese with banana; however, right now, I'm eating a wholemeal roll and butter filled with thick slices of extra mature English Farmhouse Cheddar, and slices red onion that I've just brought in from storage in the shed, descrumptious.
