Baking your own bread is the best because it's warm, fluffy and generally just has that fresh baked taste. I'll admit that it may take some tries but once it comes out right you and your family will love it. I guess it's kind of like a little treat to add to your meals.

I do bake my own breads once in a while and like to give them an unusual twist, it enables you to get creative and eat something different now and then. One of my favorites is a rustic bread made with kumara (sweet potato) and thyme. It is dense, hearty, healthy and beautiful.  I actually have the recipe (with photo) in one of my hubs:

I bake both "regular" bread and French bread. Nothing beats the taste of fresh homemade bread, still warm, with a bit of butter and honey, with a glass of cold milk to wash it down!
