Is buttered popcorn worse for you than white cheddar popcorn?
I love white cheddar popcorn - but hate any buttered popcorn. Is there a difference in calories since it's cheese instead of butter?
I don't think it would be any difference. I love white cheddar popcorn myself but i don't think any difference in between the two
I think you would have to look at the ingredients on the package.
If you are popping the corn yourself and adding butter it would have a lot of saturated fat.... according to how much butter you use.
If you are using a powdered cheese seasoning, it would be more likely to have some vegetable oil ( Corn, Soybean, or Sunflower Oil), and some chemical additives for stabilization etc. like Disodium Phosphate.
Normally, I think buttered would be more caloric, but it depends on the specific ingredients in the cheese flavoring.

Popcorn: The salty ones or the sweet ones?I'd like to hear your preference. For me, I think I like the sweet ones more, though I enjoy both.

Is the popcorn at the movie theater much better than home popped or microwave popcorn? We can talk about this in terms of health, or maybe even, based on taste preference. For some, the more butter and cheese, the better. What say ye?
