What is the proper serving order for your guests at a formal dinner party?
Who gets served first? Then what order? And is it the same for all courses?
Pink champagne on arrival
Main dish ( red wine with meat or white wine with fish )
Port or liqueur and Cheese
Cognac and coffee
How was that? This was a real life event in June 2011. Look forward to seeing other answers
Basically, serve ladies first, eldest to youngest, then gentlemen in the same order. Do it so for all the courses. A lot depends on circumstance, though. How many guests? Is there a guest of honor? Will you use English, French or Russian service? Do you have waiters? How many compared to the number of guests?
Your question is ambiguous at best. Are you referring to who gets served first or the menu service?
