Do vegetarians hate non-vegetarians? or they only dislike the food?

My vegetarian friends don't hate me because I like a good, grilled rack of lamb. I guess that's a tautology, though, isn't it? If they hated me they wouldn't be my friends.

Quite a few vegetarians, though, I find to be as touchy, aggressive, judgmental and obnoxious as a lot of sociopolitical leftists. I don't know what they're afraid of, though such hatred always stems from fear, but they sure aren't people you'd want to invite to dinner, or to be around at all any more than you had to. Maybe they never read Burns and just can't see themsel's as ithers see them.

My friend who is a vegetarian just got married to a guy who eats meat, so I guess she doesn't hate non-vegetarians.   Some vegetarians can be quite militant about it, though.

When I was a vegetarian my husband was a meat eater, I simply saw my diet as one of choice. Although I have come across quite a few vegetarians who believed that they knew better I still consider it a matter of choice.

Sounds like an efficient arrangement. His name isn't by any chance Jack Spratt?

I have seen this go both ways...  Typically, vegetarians couldn't care less if other people eat meat, albeit I have seen those who are religious about it and claim that "humans weren't designed to eat meat," then the whole thing blows up into a big debate with plenty of hate.
Personally, I prefer meat along with almost any other variety of foods, as I'm not picky.  I'm not really big into eating junk foods and organ meat, but other than that, I'm usually game for whatever hits the plate.

It depends on the person. You would have to ask them individually because I have met people that complain about others eating meat and i have met some that are respectful and don't care what you eat.

I'm a vegetarian and my husband and sons both eat meat, so clearly I don't hate meat eaters. For me, being a vegetarian is a totally personal choice and I have no problem preparing meat, I just will not eat it myself. Now, for the second part of your question: I am not a vegetarian because I hate the taste of the food (even though I haven't had meat in 16 years, I still remember enjoying the taste) I just believe it's ethically irresponsible for me.

I don't hate vegetarians, but I suppose, that like with most everything, there are some that will hate meat eaters.  Just like there are some meat eaters that hate vegetarians.  I myself and trying to cut meat out as much as possible, simply for health reasons.

    Thanks for the question!
