Which is more important when you order food from a provider - Time, Taste, or Nutrition?
I see the term provider, in this question, as any establishment that serves food that is ready to eat. Restaurant does not cover all of the places that serve food these days.
While time and taste are also important, nutrition is #1 for me. We eat a very clean diet at home so we can tell when food is full of fat, sugar, salt, etc.
I would love to tell you that nutrition is at the top of my priorities, but it isn't :-( but taste is one of the top priorities. But first I would list safety - was it prepared properly and is it fresh and not questionable. I often wonder how often we have eaten questionable food due to the food "provider's" desire to save a dollar or two rather than toss something iffy.
And on the safety issue, you can make yourself nuts wondering if the guy they hired to plate the food, washed his hands after using the bathroom, or did he reach up and touch his nose or mouth....so many factors to consider.
Usually if I go out to eat, I am not worried about time, but taste is important if I am going to pay for a meal out.
Nutrition and diet. I try to eat healthy and do not mind waiting for a meal that tastes good and is healthy. However I do have an issue with food that is unhealthy and makes me feel blotted. Then the guilt starts to set in.
Unless i'm taking the wife out for dinner speed is the most important part for me. Every moment I spend waiting for my food is a little bit of my life I've lost. If I want something healthy or nutritious i'll cook at home, which is what I do most of the time. I've worked in the food industry and it seems that most people will say taste is more important, but when it comes down to it they complain more about speed. Good question.
I cook at home whenever I can; but, I am curious about what people are expecting from a food service establishment. All three would be good, but when I eat out, I don't see that too often.
You are right. We can find that almost every lady votes for nitration or taste, gentlemen vote for time. Actually leroy64 you can use search engine to find someone's research about detail data of restaurant's correct waiting time range.
Nutrition is at the top of my priorities most of the time. I do prefer the food to taste great though.
Time! I'd like to cook by myself if I have to line up or set there for long time waiting. That's a kind of wasting of both time and money.
