What are some very tasty recipes high in iron that can be made for lunch or dinner?
I have an elderly adult male who needs to eat a lot more iron intake then he has been so I am looking for a few recipe ideas to kind of help along. Please keep in mind this gentleman needs iron and to make matters harder on us he is not a big vegetable eater. He does not like spicy either. Thank you for your help.
Yummy, yummy meat is your best bet. Dark chocolate is also an excellent source of iron. If he's game for it, offal (kidneys, liver, etc.) will provide him with iron as well as numerous other minerals. If all else fails, try good ol' peanut butter.
