My 12-year old son started taking over the Christmas cookie baking a few years ago. He chooses 3 or 4 different recipes and does it all from scratch, from making the shopping list, to packing them up for our neighbors and friends. I love making cookies, but it's been fun to see him take over! :)

For years it's been a family tradition to bake Christmas cookies and make candy. Lately it's been hard to keep up the tradition but I feel it's important to carry on.

Sugar cookies would have to be my number one pick, followed by any cookie with chocolate and mint as the main ingredients.

I love pumpkin cookies with raisins. But there's rarely a cookie I'll turn down at any time of year.

I recently gave all my cookie cutters to a niece who was getting into baking. Sure has been a long time since I bothered to make home-made cookies though they are always the tastiest.
