Kitchenaid 12 Cup Food Processor

Food processors are great kitchen appliances to have. If you have used one before you know what I am talking about, if not then read on to see what the features and benefits of owning one of these machines are and what you should look for when buying one.

Personally I go for more that I think I will need as far as size, speed, and wattage. These all play an important part in choosing a food processor. I own a kitchenaid 12 cup food processor and it will be what I talk about throughout this lens.

There is so much you can do with one of these machines. Here are just a few things you can do

  • Make Soup

  • Make Dips

  • Chop Veggies

  • Make your own peanut butter

  • and so much more

I love my kitchenaid 12 cup 700 watt food processor and find new uses for it everyday. Some people say you are limited and that is simply not true. As a matter of fact there are cookbooks dedicated to just food processor recipes.

Can Kitchenaid Food Processors Do More Than Kitchenaid Mixers?

This is a common question that I see from seekers of a food processor. So can they do more than a mixer? The answer is not a simple yes or no. Really they both do different things.

You can not make bread in a food processor but you can make cookie doughs. You can not chop any vegetables but can make sausage and icecream with a mixer. It all depends on what you plan on doing with it but they are two totally different tools in a kitchen.

If I had to choose one appliance today it would be a tough choice. Ultimately I would get a food processor though because you can do more with it initially, and they are also less expensive than a mixer is generally so that I why I would go with a food processor.

Kitchenaid 12 Cup Food Processor Uses

What I use my ktichenaid 12 cup food processor and what you may use it for might be different but that is a good thing. It means there are so many uses for food processors that two people could have two totally different views on what they are good for. personally my favorite thing to make in them is dips.

Here is a recipe to my famous chicken dip

  • Two fully cooked chicken breasts

  • One clove of garlic

  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sour cream

  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheese

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • any other flavors you may want such as cumin, hot peppers, hot sauce, etc just try it without them first and then experiment.

Once you get those ingedients together put all of it in your food processor and pulse until the chicken is in a dip form.

To make faster chicken dip, cook your chicken in a microwave. when its done put all the chicken and juices into the food processor with the rest of ingredients.

This is a delicious recipe that goes great with chips for parties or snacking. Give it a shot. This just shows one use and there are hundred more you can use this for.
