Best Wine Glasses To Use By the Pool, Patios or on Boats

Updated on September 20, 2013

Looking For Stylish Unbreakable Wine Glasses?

Sure you can get cheap wine glasses from just about anywhere so it's not really about the cost of the glasses. It's just that whether you have a pool or patio party, people set their glasses down and before you know it, there's bits of glass everywhere.

I know, because I'm the klutziest. I've been known to have accidentally kicked over a glass or two. You think, oh, I'll just set it down for a second while I get a bite to eat and then you get up and forget about it or shift forward in your seat and then your toe bumps into it. What's also surprising is that I've set a water goblet down a smidge too hard and then the bottom has been easily nicked.

So the solution is to avoid glass altogether. But before you think red solo cups or cheesy plastic sippy cups, you may want to look at some of the new shatterproof pool wine glasses that are made from new high tech polymers that are safe to drink from.

To take the wobble out of the whole thang to make it not only unbreakable but to minimize accidents there are also stemless wine glasses available that will hopefully minimize spillage. Even better, these versatile wine glasses can be safely used both inside and outside. So with safety first in mind, I've found wine glasses that look as good as fancy crystal but are shatterproof.

Top 5 Most Popular Shatterproof Wine Glasses - For a Pool Party On Amazon.com

I've gone through Amazon's Top 100 bestselling wine glasses and picked out these great sets of shatterproof, unbreakable goblets. Some are stemless, and the higher quality versions have passed food safety tests. Even better yet many officially state that they are BPA-Free and dishwasher safe. Some are available as individual glasses while others come in sets of 4 or more.

If you thought the wine glasses were cool, check out their stemless champagne flutes that also have the signature thumb notch. So cool. The only downside to Govino glasses is that they're not dishwasher safe and need to be hand washed to prevent the shape from bending or being scratched.

This wine glass is also BPA-free but has a chunkier looking stem. It's also dishwasher safe made out of Tritan and can also be purchased as a single glass.

Have you tried the Govino glasses that everyone's been raving about? What do you think? Or do you have a favorite unbreakable wine glass that we haven't listed here that you like to use around the pool. Perhaps even a glass version that's pretty much indestructible? Please leave us your suggestions.
