A Hot-Dog Toaster Story

Never thought I'd end up owning a hot dog toaster but now I do. I seen these in the store after they came out and they seemed quite popular. I thought it would be rather fun to own one because they seemed unique. Then it happened!

One day when my son was out shopping he seen this and thought it would be cool to get it for Mom for Christmas. The color was just right since my kitchen colors are red. So that's what he did. I was quite surprised when I opened my gift to see this especially after thinking it would be fun to own one. It's been a lot of fun and simple to use. I'm glad he got it..

How To Use Hot-dog Toaster

  1. Just pop your hot dogs in the middle.
  2. Open your buns and put them in each end of the toaster.
  3. The controls are on the end.
  4. Set the button from one to five for desired cooking; one being low and five being high for cooking preferences.
  5. Then press the lever down and wait for them to pop up in a few minutes.
  6. If you'd like them to pop them up sooner, there is another button to press that is next to the lever.
  7. Watch out when it pops up; it just might make you jump a bit.

Nutritional Facts About Vegetarian Links

Vegetarian Hot-dogs

I bet you may wonder what meatless hot dogs are if you've never heard of them, huh? Well for they are vegetarian and a great alternative for those who don't eat meat. There are three variations by the Worthington brand. They are Vega-Links, Super-Links and Big Franks which are a thin to thickness link and each taste a bit different. I've eaten all three of these hot dogs for as long as I can remember since I grew up a vegetarian; each very good.

They make for a great lunch and can be served with most anything. They go good with chips, french fries and salads. They are super simple to make. Either make them with this fancy hot-dog toaster or put them into a pan on the top of the stove and heat them up. Easy peasy and ready to eat in no time at all. If you've never tried them; try them, you might just like them.

The hot-dogs I used in my toaster were the Super-Link ones. They are fat like real brat hot-dogs in size but taste way different.

Super-Links - Meatless Hot Dogs

Super-Links are meatless hot dogs. They are made with soy based protein with wheat gluten. They are lean with less fat than real hot dogs and are cholesterol free. Best yet they are meatless! As you can see they come in a can as opposed to real wieners that come packaged this plastic wrapper or in a small plastic container. The links are kept moist and juicy surrounded in protein liquid in the can. With these all you need to do is heat and serve.
