When do I know if I have too many tags. Each time I see a hub of mine, I include all the new tag suggestions. Some of them are over 30. Is that too much or do I continue

I usually pick the 10 best ones, the suggested tags stink most of the time, in my opinion.

The suggestions are usually not that good no (except for the really obvious ones that you should have). It is better to come up with tags yourself or use keyword research / tools to find the good ones.

There does appear to be a limit on how many tags is still "good" for your hub but I don't know what it affects, I think the HubScore of that hub. But I'm not sure if you should care about that - all you want is that the tags are there so search engines know on what keywords / phrases they should index your hub (or at least it helps in associating your hub with those keywords).

When you get the warning that you've got too many tags you need to remove some until the the warning disappears, otherwise your hubscore will be penalized.

        Where does the warning appears?

At the top of the hub.

Well, if it appears on the top of the hub, how do one can know that warning?

Unfortunately you have to go to each hub and look or definitely keep an eye out when you have published or after you have added more tags. It would be nice if there were a symbol for too many tags in the account section, but there isn't.

Every time after I have published the hub I will notice that. There is no warning at that time. Is there any chance that the warning will come later?

If yes what will happen shall we get any email for that or the hub will be unpublished.

Yes they do. But I assumed it is based on web search or some other thing and the purpose is to increase the article views. Do I just ignore them?

Well I have never seen the warning so I can continue to tag to my hearts delight I suppose?

      Well until the warning appears....

Most hubs can take 15-20 tags, longer hubs can allow you up to 40 - it's based on the word count.

Have a look at your hubs every few days & you will see the warning if you get one ,It comes under Edit Stats etc ! Remove a few tags & it will go away .
Some of their suggestions are not helpful so I research my own.
You are better off have less good ones that are actually looked for than more silly tags.
