"Lord" (tongue-in-cheek) knows I try!
"Perfection" just seems to elude me in everything I try!
Shall I stop trying for perfection and just accept my "imperfection?"
Qwark
Perfection is boring Qwark. It's our flaws that make us interesting!
Perfection is an illusion.
However, attainment of not being a general mess is doable.
Haven't you ever heard of the old saying..
To error is human.
Perfect humans will look like assembly line products.. different is interesting... but who is perfect?
Wholeness seems far more appealing to me than perfection.
Perfection sounds like hell to me.
Dan:
...and trying to attain perfection will drive ya nuts!
The "funny farm" would be the final result...amen and amen.
I'll go with a little bit better than a "general mess." lol :
Qwark
You are right on about trying to attain perfection will drive you nuts. It's an illusion. The earth is a general mess and so is the universe. Black holes eating stars and solar systems...carnivorous place, this universe. It has to be "perfect" as it is, because there isn't anything else. Same with us.
Amen. Can I have a hallelujah in the house?!
Miss:
Are you a graduate of the college of the "Imaculate Perfection?"
I looked for the tel# on Google and can't find it?
Is the tuition affordable?
Questions, questions.....lol :
Qwark
Why yes I am. I got my BS degree there. The tuition was a little steep but perfection......priceless. In the words of one of my favorite bands,
"Look here she comes now
Bow down and stare in wonder
Oh how we love you
No flaws when you're pretending........."
Great song about "perfection".
I suppose you can't hear the sarcasm in my typing. My mistake. You also seem to have missed my play on words (hint:look up the many different meanings for the abbreviation BS) or have no idea what the message in that songs is. Look it up. It's called Everybody's Fool by Evanescence. BTW....do you think before you type? Just wondering..............
where did the "perfect" word came from if nobody and no one has ever been perfect?..hihihi
(please feel free to ingnore me)
"Perfect" is a perception. If there was perfection, there would no longer be a reason for the 'perfect' object to exist.
To evolve is the only reason for anything to exist.
qwark, qwark, qwark, (shaking head)
As there are no absolutes, perfect cannot exist.
Tis better to do your best and say to hell with the rest!

Darwin acknowledged from the start that the eye would be a difficult case for his new theory to explain. Difficult, but not impossible. Scientists have come up with scenarios through which the first eye-like structure, a light-sensitive pigmented spot on the skin, could have gone through changes...

God is perfect. To my knowledge, no theist will deny this claim, so I'm not going to spend any time defending it.If God is perfect, then all the consequences of his actions must be perfect. To deny this would be like claiming you had a perfect mechanic, but your car's brake pads and oil...

If God demands that you're good, are you really being good at all?Since everything God commands is coupled with a lavish fiery nightmare it seems like all actions of believers are backed by that self centered fear?
