Unverified Person/Comment

   From time to time I get an email from Hubpages team, informing me that an unverified person has left a comment on one of my Hubs. My question-Is there anyway to find out who left me the message and on which Hub? Because a good deal of the time, I do not see any comments under these Hubs either. There is no way that I can respond back to these particular people if I even wanted to. Thank for your feedback.

      In this case, most likely the comment will have been automatically removed as spam because the IP address used to leave the comment has previously been reported as spammy. You will get the notification, but the comment will not appear.

      It is a comment from someone outside of HP.

         That's cool - I have never had anyone outside leave a comment and most of my traffic is from outside.  I wonder if the "leave a comment" is clear or if I should put one in the hub . . . Hmmmmm

            Actually, your comment box, the capsule itself has a TITLE which is bold-face. You can ask people to leave a comment. Not to mention, you have additional settings within the capsule itself, which you can set.

   By default, the comments capsule is set so that anyone can leave a comment. Manually, this setting can be changed for each hub to exclude non-registered users from leaving comments.

   If it is an outsider comment, it will not have a link.

      Sometimes they do, but these are usually spam.

   I get those on occasion...they usually leave insults or spam links..
   just do what they said..make your comments unseen until you approve them..

   I get very few comments from outside HP.. one I had to delete because it was just downright mean.  And I also delete the spammy ones.  But one or two were nice comments.
