Which part of the Adsense code is the part I need to cut or copy?

    What are you talking about?

If you mean what do you paste in your affiliate settings, that would be your publisher ID which starts with pub-...

You don't paste it anywhere else?

Pamela, you will need to make ad units and copy/paste the code on your websites and blogs.

Hubpages has already placed ads for you on your hubs. All you have to do is enter your publisher ID from the top right corner. Go to https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/ and you will get it.

If you had a blog or website, you'd be pasting the AdSense code into those. On HubPages, it works differently: You do not paste the code into your hubs, ever.

EDIT: Posted at the same time as Ultimate Hubber.

I pasted the code into the html box in edit mode, I hope that is right... but do I have to paste it on every Hub?

You DON'T have to deal with ANY HTML!  Just add your pub number in your earnings section under my account and Hubpages automatically puts the ads on your page.  You are not listening to any of the answers being given to you.  You are making this far more difficult than it needs to be.  One of the great things about Hubpages is that it is user-friendly for everyone...no need to be technologically savvy.

Thank -you...like I said I am sort of new here and I had one or 2 people tell me that I still had to paste the code ...as that is what adsense directs you to do also..making it confusing. So I guess I'm good then.

Your post clarly shows that you did not read, or totally misread, my post to which you responded. The HTML box has nothing to do with AdSense.

Yes I read what you wrote, But I have had people also tell me that I STILL had to paste the code. I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to make sure I get Paid that is all.

All right. Find those people who told you that, then tell them to read this forum thread for the truth. There are about one thousand prior forum threads all saying the same thing. Good luck!
