How many hubs should I publish before joining adsense etc?

I'm just wondering if other hubbers can give me advice on how many hubs they recommend I have published before I sign up for Adsense, Ebay, Amazon affiliate income-producing programs to make it worthwhile?
I currently have 19 hubs published.
    Thanks,
    Jodah

I wrote an article on how to get AdSense much more quickly and easily than trying to get approved through Hubpages.

As someone else said, Beth already had AdSense, so entirely different.

Thanks, I had already applied for an AdSense account through Hub pages before I saw your advice to set up a web page and apply for it there. So although I already have a personal blog site where I could do it, I don't suppose I can as I already have a pending application.

Yeah, you'll need to wait for that to be accepted or rejected first.
Does your blog have much material?
              Who is it hosted by?

It's Blogspot through Google.  It has quite a bit of content over about 5 years, but mostly a personal journal style blog, though I can start adding more variety of content wider appeal.

As soon as you are rejected, apply through blogspot, You'll get it, and can use it here.

I too had a personal blog on blogger and was rejected.  Then I found HubPages and after about 20 articles, I was accepted.

Surprisingly I was approved first attempt, and I only applied for AdSense 12 days ago. from what I'd heard I'd been expecting to have my application declined and have to wait 6 months. maybe things are getting easier and quicker. It was a pleasant surprise.

I've only just written my first Hub but as I already had AdSense and Amazon affiliate accounts I linked them up straight away. Even if my Hub only generates a few cents, it's better than no cents at all. In my view, the only reason not to link your writing is if you don't like the flow interrupted by advertising. On the plus side, once you have a few Hubs written (which you already have) you should be able to see the relative popularity of different types of article by how much income each one generates.

Ok thanks for that Beth, you've talked me into it.

If you do not already have an ad sense account then go with 10 featured hubs. That seems to be the magic number.

I heard from someone that you have the best chance of getting adSense if you have 20 hubs and a well written bio.

Don't get discouraged if you don't get approved at first.  Just keep publishing hubs.  I published perhaps 17 or so hubs before mine was approved.  Persist.

Thanks for the advice FlourishAnyway. I will just keep publishing hubs. It's the writing that's important to me not the money anyway. I just thought may as well take advantage of a few dollars if they happen to be on offer.
