   What do you believe is the next step in human evolution and how will it come about?
   
   We might have come a long way from sliced bread but we still have yet to overcome ourselves and our more barbaric traits that tend to lead to destruction more than civility.  In all seriousness, how do you see us evolving into a truer society?  Or are we doomed to a horrible end at our own hands?  Or are we just meant to exist in the now as the wheels on the bus go round and round?  What's the next big leap?

   Definitely we are not meant to exist in the now forever, it is not possible. Science is still failed to find out how everything evolved and how it will end but there are different theories:
   
   According to the 'Static Universe Model' world will continue in this way and it has no beginning and no end, but many scientists do not agree to it and they believe that world was created from an expolsion before that there was nothing and as it has been created from an explosion and it keep on expanding it will end one day.
   
   The world has to end one day, if it continues this way I think its creation will become useless then. It has to end to have a new beginning.

   I see that you have many questions, that most of us share @ one point or another.
   Human Evolution next step has been happening everyday, little by little, traits and things we learn are past down into our children and theirs. By history having been told, recorded, shared, in anyway in different forms and taught, any living mind learns more and then to have children and them to learn whatever they can.
   So i know, without being misdirected by myself, the elements, or other people, our minds can read eachothers mind when all aspects are put into thought and done the right way.
   WE know people can make things happen, if we look at a town or a city and know where every living creature is and what they about to do, or we can let things happen.
   Some of us in hopes they are of great people and see ( think ) beyond only selfish needs and learn anyone can start or continue a chain of lifeform that will know everything, including there is no end to life.

   i dont think humans will evolve anymore. instead, our race will fuse with technology to prolong life, and do other remarkable things, that make us superhuman.(kind of evolving.. No?)

   For one thing evolution does not really work this way -- in a nutshell evolution is a tag/keyword/name for the observation that out of a population in a specific environment, members of the population with specific characteristics that are conducive towards survival and reproduction in that specific environment will have a greater probability to dominate that population potentially to the point that the alternative traits vanish entirely from the population over a succession of generations.
   
   This applies to any scale over which you can define a population that has successive generations.
   
   Anything else is change but not necessarily evolution.
   
   With the challenges that recent technological changes have added to the already complicated mix of issues derived from the various inequalities that are naturally present in the whole of human society it is difficult to imagine a good end to it all.
   
   What do you imagine to mean by a 'truer' society?  Do you mean one that is more 'unified' towards a racial goal or a richer world for all?
   
   For this to even happen we'd need a planet wide epidemic of understanding and/or empathy to make it possible for the self interest machine to encompass descendant interest (and I do not mean immediate descendants here, I am talking long term). 
   
   We probably need a new higher bandwidth language and grammar -- one that conveys more information and more types of information (strength and types of emotions and feelings, more data regarding context of communication, etc...). 
   
   IMHO if there is a 'next step' better communication is it.  There are a number of ways this could be achieved -- social, technological, biological.  But for any lofty species wide  collaboration to work a species wide language worthy and capable of supporting such a collaboration needs to come into existence.

   It is obvious that the continued loss of hair is not only the next step, but the current step in evolution.  Bald men are smarter, stronger, more powerful in the ways of love, and more successful than the less advanced hirsutes.  Thousands of years ago the homo sapien was literally covered with fur. Thankfully evolution has gotten rid of most of it.  In another few hundred years the species will be completely hairless.
   
   In major league baseball alone several of the most prominent players are already bald (including the MVP) and they are not yet 30 years of age.  Sorry Hair Club you are going out of business as the new generation has decided to shed hair not buy it.
   
   The hirsuites may vote this down so you will not see it....but that will not change the facts.
