Which is better to write for HubPages a short or long article?
I think that is all up to you. If you have enough information to write a long article go for it. I like reading articles whether they are short or long as long as they have sufficient information in them.
Just think of it this way as long as it's factually correct who's going to complain about the length of the article? I sure wouldn't. In my opinion the longer the better.
Thank you great information Yaright. I usually like to write about 300 - 500 in an article and try to keep it informative.
In general, I think it is better to write whatever length is needed to convey your point accurately with adequate explanation. Beyond that, it's a matter of your purpose in writing.
If you are writing for enjoyment and experience and to share your knowledge, then any length is fine. If you are writing for SEO and making money online, then it seems like most people say it should be 700 to 1100 words, or around there.
But quality is King, according to some, and that would dictate that you let the subject matter, not the intent, dictate hub length.
Hope that helps.
I think as long as the article is interesting and will hold the readers' attention, you can write as long as you want.
Have a nice day,
Rosie

Do you think it is a good idea to turn in articles less than 500 words?I have read some really short hubs lately that must have gone up really fast. Do you think this is a bad idea? Does it affect the views?

Sometimes a certain topic only takes a single image and a couple paragraphs to satisfy an online search inquiry . Any text beyond that would be redundant filler. This is a major conflict with the search friendly Hub guidelines.Do brief articles ever get beyond the Hub community??...One thought on...

Is it better to write for HubPages or Squidoo?Recently, I've heard a lot about Squidoo being possibly better than HubPages in many aspects. Which do you think is better to write for if you're looking for traffic and earnings?

I was just wondering what people's take on article length is. Do you make a point of including as much info as possible in your article going for longer length or if you can cover it decently in a shorter length do you prefer to stick with that? I'm seeing some articles that are well...

In their teachings on writing stellar hubs, the HubPages staff has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,500 words long and has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,150 words long. Numerous hubs by hubbers on hubbing have recommended that a hub should be at least circa 400 to 500 words long, at...
