Any type of creativity is a natural process. Do you agree?
Can creativity be artificial if not natural? How?
Creativity, like all thought, is a result of brain chemistry and electrical activity, thus it is a natural process. Any unique idea or well planned solution to a problem is an example of the natural process of creativity. It could be created artificially using computers, as computer generated art and music has already emerged.
i also heard on the radio someone used pills to get their minds working and were better writers, or something like that. though i never looked into that, never researched it.
Thank you@The Singularity for your reply here. Very good example of Computers in art and music.
Alexander p....I even never heard of that kind of pills.
Alexander, that brings up a good point. I heard that same report, it was about Kerouac's use of amphetamines. I suppose that may make it more artificial, however his writing is no less beautiful from it.
personally, i don't think it's natural creativity if people have to get involved and artificially stimulate it. like, when people sleep by aid of sleep pills, that's not what i consider natural sleep because the effects of induced sleep on the body are not as reviving as naturally falling asleep. so this forced(for the lack of better word) sleep is unnatural. so is artificially triggered, simulated or in any other way induced creativity.
but if we are less strict with definitions of "natural" and "unnatural"--which is not unreasonable because definitions are usually subjective--then yes, any creativity is natural for the reasons TheSingularity mentioned.

Do you believe sibling rivalry is a natural process? If so, why?

"Creativity takes courage". Why? Do you agree with this statement?

And that's what this is - strictly my opinion and everyone has the right to agree or disagree. I wouldn't take offense because we all feel strongly in our beliefs. Here's the deal. First of all, I'm a female. After 57 years of living, I've decided that monogamy isn't natural for the man. Male brains...

The less you know, the better you sleep, do you agree?

Many people say there lives have meaning because a god exists. If no god existed life would be meaningless. So I'd like theists to explain exactly what that added value is. Is there added value by being created by a god as opposed to being the result of a natural process? If you think so, what is...

That is damn strange, James. I'm sorry you're going through this, it does seem punitive.
