   Celebrations!!!
   
   How can people keep on celebrating and enjoying their lives, when there are millions dying of hunger, lack of water, cold.....etc??

   Tradition says it was King Solomon who wrote, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." I, too, believe we often go too far, spending way too much on celebrations and that those resources would be of better use directed toward the poor and suffering. But while we remain on Earth, at least, we are human, and our need for joy and expression of joy is no less great than our need for clean air and water, shelter and food.

   Ya really ... what are we celebrating? Delhi being the rape capital of the world, kids being blasted by lunatics in schools in the States; perhaps chasing profit at all costs, while stepping on other people's heads in order to get higher ... or, we can celebrate European countries such as Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and so on, which are crumbling from inside. This year will be interesting - it will hit like out of nowhere.
   
   Sure, celebrating is important - once in a while but it seems like we are always coming-up with something to party about - on a week-end basis for many people ...

      I appreciate your opinion Mr. Happy. It's like I said responding to our friend Jim that we can acquire joy without wasting money on stupid things, how about the joy of giving???
