Some of the responses may answer your question, including my theory about hubscore. I used to stress over it a lot until I realized there are factors out of our control that change hubscores. My advice is to continue writing consistently, producing quality hubs, and continue community involvement with the primary intent of learning as much as you can from other hubbers.
As far as I can tell, publishing Hubs consistently is the best way to get a high Hub Score. Getting involved in forums, asking questions, and commenting on other Hubs may make a difference, but publishing seems to be the main factor.
Rock_nj and janshare are perfect examples of what one must to be be successful and to keep your hubpages scores high. I, sometime have problems repeating, verbatim, what two great hubbers have already said, so I just support the great statements that other hubbers have made, in this case, the hubbers Rock_nj and janshare.
Therefore, I say, follow their great advice and become a winning hubber.
Regards,
Dr. Haddox
i think is how active is your participation in forums, answering questions, hub hopping. When more people read your hubs, the score naturally goes up. For those going down, be careful, the hub may end up unfeatured anytime.
I think it has to do with how many times the hub is being viewed, the scores the hub receives when it is graded via "Hop a Hub," and whether it receives feedback or is ranked up or down by readers. These factors are constantly changing, thus the fluctuating hub score. That's my best guess, anyway.

Pretty much without exception my Hub score will drop two, three or more points within an hour or two of first posting a Hub. Then it gradually, eventually goes up again. For example, today, March 31, 2011, I posted a Hub and my score dropped like a rock three points. I don't understand this. I...

Why does it bug me so much when I see my hubscores going down? It is not supposed to matter, especially when it is just a point or 2 but it really gets to me.

hub:/hub/Non-Destructive-TestingJust wondering like if there's anything I can do as a user to "hop" older hubs or something. I often come across hubbers with extremely low hub scores (like 1 or 5) and I was wondering if HubPages has a tool to like find these hubbers and then like manually...

Am active on the forums, and getting a few new fans and joining up with a few writers...things look good. Then when I post a new hub my points go down 2-3 points and creep back up within 2-3 days. Does anyone know why, do I need to post 2 new hubs at a time? Am not able to post a...

Along with the Google effect lately I've seen a lot of forum posts about spam, and every time I hub hop it is obvious that there is a lot submitted here of both spam and simply substandard hubs.I would suggest that the following rules apply to the first 5 (or 10 or 20?) hubs by any new...
