   What are the best deodorant alternatives?
   
   Nearly every deodorant you find in stores today has aluminum in them. I have a terrible allergic reaction when putting on these deodorants and I have a friend with the same problem. What are some safe and effective alternatives to deodorants with aluminum in them?

   I have been told that generally, the ones that have the word "antiperspirant" on the label are the ones that contain aluminum, which I also have adverse reactions to. The ones that do not contain aluminum are labeled as "deodorant" only.
   
   Based on the little research I did on this, antiperspirants disable the sweat glands under the arm, keeping the area dry and free of any odor. Deodorants, on the other hand, just work to neutralize the odor and do nothing to stop the sweat.
   
   
   I like Tom's of Maine products. They don't work nearly as well as antiperspirants do, but it beats having the allergic reactions. It does not contain aluminum and does nothing to your sweat glands, which is a much healthier alternative!

   White vinegar does a stellar job. It changes the Ph in the armpit and so takes care of odor.
