How do you get through last few weeks/days of pregnancy!?
I have 9 days left until my due date and I am going crazy! I am taking naps (because I don't get much sleep at night), the baby's room is pretty much done, and now I am dying of boredom because I want my baby to get here! And no offense but I don't want to hear "get sleep and enjoy this time now" because I have a hard time sleeping anyway so why not get no sleep with a baby
Have you prepped freezer meals for when after baby is born? I found this is best done in the last week or two of pregnancy because it stays in the freezer less time before eating. My go to blog for great freezer recipes is Money Saving Mom. The link has several of options to choose from. http://moneysavingmom.com/downloads/fre … g-planners
Another option, if you have water around you, is to go swimming! It is amazing to be full term and float in the water. It also helps relieve discomfort. Get out of the house. Do some gardening or do something you know you won't have time for in the coming months. Go see a movie, before you need a sitter to watch a little one for you to get out. Get the car ready for baby (car seat and window pull down tint things a small storage box of rattles). Whatever you do, don't sit for long periods. I did that with my first and he ended up two weeks late, I think he got too comfortable in there!
Thanks for all the suggestions! I really appreciate it I do love swimming! I have already gone once this week, is one of my favorite pregnant activities I guess I could work on the car and some freezer meals. Movies are always fun too
I walked a lot in the last week or so with each baby. I'll confess, I was kinda hoping they'd take the hint and just get the heck out of there. Come to think of it, I recall whining whenever someone bet on a due date more than three days from the current time. I tried to do housework, but couldn't really bend over at all or do anything especially useful, so walking helped pass the time. Reading books too, to a point, but sitting too long actually hurt worse than staying on my feet.
And...whoever said "get sleep and enjoy the time" apparently doesn't remember what sleep means after baby drops. For me, it meant waking up to waddle to the bathroom every 10-15 minutes .
So...yeah, not very helpful, I know. I'd say just latch onto every little distraction you can. Soak in a warm bathtub if you can, go wandering for the heck of it (with a cell phone, in case baby does take the hint), call random people just to chat, wash windows, scrub baseboards with a toothbrush, and any little thing you can do to pass even a few minutes. It feels like forever, but you'll forget it really fast once baby finally makes an appearance. I've had three babies ranging from 8lbs 6ozs to 10lbs 8ozs. One was born 4 days before his due date, the middle child was 13 days after, and the youngest was born 15 days after his official due date...just three hours before he was supposed to be induced. I haven't found the key to getting through it yet, except to just celebrate the passing minutes and try not to look at how much time is left. Some people think a countdown is cool, but it's pretty much never the person who's pregnant once you hit the last bit of the third trimester.
I am with you on the waddling to the bathroom every 10 minutes thing! especially at night, don't know what it is about me trying to sleep that makes him especially fond of pushing on my bladder. Thanks for the advice! is nice to know I'm not only one

How many days should I wait before I take a pregnancy test? When is the earliest I can take it?I don't want a false negative, if it's a positive and I took the test too soon.
