   Why is nearly everyone walking around unconscious and unaware with their eyes glued to devices?
   
   I can not help but noticed the way most individuals seemed to be caught up with this new technology of texting, they always seemed so unaware of their surrounds etc, is this healthy or wise the way individuals seemed to be addicted to their device.

   No it's not, and it's truly mind boggling how people can be so blatantly oblivious of their surroundings. It's also infuriating when talking to someone and they stay on their phone.
   
   I grew up with this technology and I'm not like that...and mind you I'm just about always on my phone as well doing one thing or another.

   Humans are addicted to anything that provides instant gratification. The people raised on these devices are and will continue to suffer some social inadequacies. They don't appear to talk face to face as much a a screen.
   I see student becoming less interested in school and learning as they are in these "social" sites.

   People are becoming addicted to their technology. I feel it is dangerous and making us dumber. Many people that use to read a map no longer do so because of GPS so map rading does not get passed down.
   
   People use to remember 15 or 20 phone numbers and now the phone remembers and they are lucky if they remember their own phone number.
   
   I am surprised there are not cases of people walking into traffic while looking at their phone. It damages people socially as well, take the phone away and they may have trouble knowing how to interact in public situations.
   
   It is a new form of addiction.

      I so agree with you Vince (iggy7117) To me this individuals seemed like they are being program with such ignorant behavior of not being able to look talk or see an individual while texting or talking in these devices, and Yes! A lot has become dumber
