   I just read a reputable article about what the Chinese are doing. they've locked up approx a million Muslims in "interrogation camps". I might go to the HP "danger pages" about this. I'll have to work up the energy first; could be a true circus. I'll blast all my thoughts there, then have to run from thread.

      Thanks. Maybe I'll just do it here. Religion is a branch of philosophy:
      
      Up to a certain point, religious belief is just a branch of philosophy and is one's chosen belief of reality. Nothing wrong with that.
      
      However, beyond a certain point; religion becomes politics, radical politics, and then extremism.
      
      The Chinese believe that any religion is a mental illness.
      
      The US believes that all is well up to, but not including, extremism.
      
      The Chinese may be entirely right, but the US is entirely right as to how to handle the situation.
      
      Any religion that does not advocate violence is fine with me. Any religion that does advocate violence, the US is government is doing fine with dealing with it since 9/11. Folks, you have no idea what we have been protected from since 9/11; it's covered up, so it does not scare the sht out of the general population.

      A relevant note. Look at our history. Sorry, but the future is not going to be any different from the past. I'm glad I won't be around.
