Hi. Can anybody give me some of advice. I am pretty new to this and need a bit of help.
I am writing hubs that will need to be linked together. Can anybody explain to me how i do this I cant seem to find anything in the hub pages FAQ.
Thank you in advance.
Any help would be much appreciated
Highlight the text you want to link and click the chain icon in the text editor then paste the URL of the hub you want to link out to.
You can also do this by highlighting the title of the article you want to link to and choose it from the list that will appear at the bottom of the page. It will only appear if it is an HP article. Also I would advise not doing this too often per hub an also make sure that the link is relative to the article you are writing.
It’s best not to link hubs together. Each hub should be considered a stand alone magazine-style article. Besides that, you cannot link to hubs on HubPages' home domain if you want your hub to be in a network niche site.
I'm sorry, but I have to say. It is best TO LINK hubs together. Internal linking among relevant hubs boosts rankings a lot. It also helps your readers. If your reader can benefit from a related article, link out to it.
Just a "however" here.
Although I agree with your reasoning, HP will often snip links to my other articles, even when they are on the same niche site, and even when they are directly related. (For instance, both are about skin diseases of dogs.)
This does not happen all of the time, but has happened enough to make me hesitant to use the link capsule.
Never use the Link capsule. Use the link capsule only for a list of references or something. Even for that I use a text capsule. In text links, not links at the end or in a list is what you want. A list of links at the end may be ignored by your readers and definitely does not provide SEO value. I would remove them if I were an editor too.
Nevertheless, if you do link from one hub to another, and if it is related to the subject and is of value to the reader, it still needs to be within the network of niche sites. HubPages made it clear that we should not link back to HubPages.com.
Now im totally confused. Perhaps if i give you an insight into the hub i want to write it might make it easier for you to understand.
I wanted to write a hub on growing fruit and veg in pots, containers etc so therefore the initial hub would be an introduction to this and then i was going to link hubs for instructions etc on growing various types of fruit and veg.
Am i able to do this or is it going to infringe hub rules.
Thank you for all your comments
You can do this. But if your hub is on a niche site, Dengarden for gardening; you cannot link to any hub that is still on hubpages. The goal is to get all your hubs moved to dengarden and once there you can interlink. I do this with my tomato hubs.
We are all still learning (I've been here 11 years). One of the great things about HubPages is... you can always edit and make changes to your articles. If you find something is not working, or if you suddenly have a better idea, you can change it without penalty.

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

I know it's been asked before. I've even asked it before. But is there a better and easier way to bring in links to a link capsule from another hub. It'd make linking series so much easier. I spent about 2 hours yesterday linking an old series that I have together. It included about 20 or so hubs...

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub which may be very relevant to the specific content in a section of a hub, if it...

Hi,I have been in hubpages for less than a week, and I have been munching information in help pages and guides ever since. I have made a few hubs, all about medicine. Basically, my problem revolves around references. I'm itching to ask how you guys put in the reference section at the bottom of the...

Hopefully the right people see this. Here is an idea how to make the new HubKarma score both very useful and beloved by writers on HubPages. Additionally, this would also provide more incentive to Hubbers to link to good hubs thereby giving HubPages what it actually wants from starting...
