The Mountains

   The Mountains
   
   oh how they rock for me
   they sing to me with their silence
   and I listen with my eyes only once more.
   staring again I see the truth
   with its trails and trees
   I see only the footsteps of my people.
   I ponder upon this and wonder who has been there
   in the same visions I look to everyday
   with questions and concerns in my life.
   for somehow I feel its wind through my window
   and hear its cries from the hard winter
   with all of the animals signaling within my soul.
   I reach to these greens in these mountains
   for guidence and peace for the quiet
   it always seems to give me with its noise.
   maybe someday I will walk there
   see the truth in these days of ponder
   in this mountain.
   maybe then he will speak to me
   with his dark hours of existence
   and silent futures holding for now.
   when I am ready I will travel to my mountain
   with nothing but content
   for I know I will never then return.
   I will sleep into those steep grounds
   and breathe the fresh scents I will then
   have been longing to smell for my lifetime.

   Thank you. I sat down, gave it a title and free-wrote what was in my mind at the time. The best always comes from that. Maybe I will make it a hub! (:
