I know many people write articles on hubpages, squidoo and dozens of other places for money. But why are they not writing articles for others that need them?

I use to write blog post and site reviews for others when I was starting out. I made 500 or so bucks a week, all working at home. Right now I pay someone to write blog post for me for all my blogs. So I've come full circle.

It's sure money; you get so much per article and get paid, simple as that. No wondering if your going to get hits on your ads. I don't see anyone here asking about this.

Is it that nobody understands there is a lot of demand for paid articles? Or is it some other reason? hmm

$500 a week?  For how many articles are we talking?

It depends on who is paying you of course. I myself pay a girl $5.00 per 250 word article. All she has to do is look at the URL of the place, then write a review of it in her word program and email me the doc.

I bet she can do 10 in a few hours. I myself wrote thousands of adult blog post. Yes, adult blog post. I got 3 bucks per 100 word post and could do 12 per hour= $36.00 per hour.

I also wrote paysite reviews of 500 words each, 8 bucks per review. I could do 3 per hour. There are also places that act like writer brokers.

You sign up, and you select from thousands of articles needed to be wrote. You write it and get paid, done. You mean you don't know about these places?

I actually have been offered this sort of work because of one of my articles here. It seemed like a pretty good gig, $12 for like 20 mins (or less) writing and there were no hard and fast rules to what I had to write either. It was an outdoors blog so anything I wanted to write to do with the outdoors was welcomed. I got paid in time and the guy was pretty laid back about it all so I was pretty pleased really smile. My problem is Hubby can spend the money as fast as I make it! roll so I really want residual income instead of one off payments for my works.

I have heard of these yes.  Seen a couple of them.  Maybe not this simple though.  And not seen adult posts.  Sounds easy for $5.  Sounds very easy lol

Well if you go to writers forums you can find people posting about wanting to pay for articles. The place I got this girl to write for me I had already seen 2 others ask for writers.

It's very simple, there are many bloggers that have hundreds of blogs. They don't have the time to write all the articles. So they hire others to do it.

In the adult blog world there is always people wanting writers. BUT,,, it is NOT as fun as you think! Try to write a hundred word article about the same damn thing:

"wow, hot Ashley is getting bla bla bla so check out site xyz today for the best sex around!"

Repeat differently 99 times more! tongue

      Spam in other words?

I am familiar with the sort of thing you are talking about.

I am more interested in the other end.  I am making no money currently but I am looking at this as a long term i.e. 3 - 5 year project.  Not quick bucks but big bucks.  Hard work but it will be worth it I am sure.  You are right, it doesn't sound like fun!

Well it all depends on who you are writing for and what they want! Like I have a tourist site. I sent this girl batches of 10 articles. Some are about a local mini golf course.

Another one will be about a local nightclub, rental cars, a hotel and so on. Nothing spammy about that, just writing what the tourist want and need to know.

It's good money if you need it while your working on your own sites. That's what I did and how I finally got to where I could stop and hire my own writers. smile

So basically, you lie for money?

    1. Bill Manning profile image71
Bill Manningposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Oh no, not at all. I would write just what the site was about. But, you have to tell it a bit differently each time so it's not the duplicate.

Also with adult they have what is called galleries. You know when guys look for porn and they find a gallery of a girl? There is always a short summery of what the girl is doing, like:

Today Ashley is having fun in her new bikini bla bla bla.

But it's all the same crap, always talking about the girl, how hot she is and so on. So it's all true, but repetitive. see? I burned out after around 10,000 articles!

      1. Haunty profile image72
Hauntyposted 14 years agoin reply to this

        So you wrote that. lol

So it's just the facts then.

        1. Bill Manning profile image71
Bill Manningposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Yes. The way porn does things is totally different than mainstream. They make blogs and write short articles about hundreds of different girls, sites and so on.

BUT, it's all the same, in that it's always about a hot chick getting banged, getting naked and so on. After a while you get burned out about talking about T & A, ya now?

Most guys don't think they would but trust me you do. There is only so many ways you can say "look at that hot chick get f***ed". lol

Hey, no fair! I explained all that in the post after that. I have never wrote articles that are lies or spam crap. Boring, yes, repetitive, yes. But no lies or spam. Somebody's got to write all that adult stuff! wink

Where do you find such writing jobs? I myself would be very interested, however I was not aware of this. I used to to transcription from home but that too got very old. (Not the porn writing, but the other)

Well, what are the rules here about links to other places? I don't want to get in trouble. Now that I think of it I've never seen a moderator on here.

Is it ok to put links to other forums here? Something tells me no. I also can give writer broker site links. Those are good also.

Maybe if anyone is interested they could use the mail function? I just don't want to get in trouble here. Guess I should have thought of that before I made this thread! smile

Perhaps you could write a hub about it, and post links in your hub. You could also put a link on your profile. Or you could just click the link on my profile and send it to me. :-)

Why don't you write a hub about it? Clearly detailing the steps needed to do what you do, you may inspire other people to follow your steps to making upto $500 a week.

Yes, that's a good idea, thanks. Do you think hubpages would have a problem with a hub like that?

Shouldn't be a problem, everyone else does it about other sites and opportunities. Go for it, i'll read it too, and maybe i'll say goodbye to my day job!

    Thank you for the email.

I think a hub about it would be fantastic, and bring lots of traffic. As long as you do not have a vested interest in the sites you are linking to it is ok to include the links in a hub. Your hub would be purely informational.

    Thanks again.

Your welcome. Ok then, in the next few days I'll make a hub about all the different places you can join to find writing jobs and so on. Think I'll leave out the adult links however.

Can't let everyone know what I do on those forums! lol

  8. Vicki99 profile image71

Well, the adult links would definately be a no-no. You could not include them anyway.

Ahhh, finally someone who has done this! Yeah but any money is better than nothing, right? I worked my way up so that I had around a dozen bloggers paying me for work.

So when one had nothing there was more to do for someone else. I always had too much work. But I don't like to write all the time, I get burned out.

Plus now I have enough of my own sites to pay others for writing while I work on my links and marketing. I'll make that hub today or tomorrow sometime so everyone can go to it. smile

Thanks Bill.  I saw this type of writing last year when I began researching writing on-line, but did not know enough about the blogging world to pursue it.  At that time all I knew of blogging was personal/family blogs.

I was just hoping to find out if that type of work was really worth pursuing money wise, or if it was a waste of time along the lines of taking surveys.  smile  On my way to your hub...

There are many freelance writers that get a big following if they are good. Word of mouth through writers forums and social sites make them sought after and they get way too much work.

I myself got too many request when I was doing it and had to turn down more people than I took up with. The thing is to become well known on writers forums and even forums like right here.

In fact if I did not already have a writer I would be checking out peoples hubs here to see who is the best, then emailing them offers. Happens all the time. smile

Bill, there are many of us here who write content for others, including Demand Studios, Constant Content and private clients. I make $20 per 400-500 word article through Demand Studios and churn out 6 to 10 per day (sometimes more). Once you get into the groove, 400-word articles take only 30 minutes or so, depending on your knowledge of the subject. (They accept United States residents only.) My private clients pay anywhere from $25 to $50 per 700-word article. I made good money from Constant Content, but gave it up because of what I felt was an excessive fee that they took -- 35%.

Finally, someone here who does this stuff! Thanks for letting me know. See, your making damn good money doing this. Ironically I got turned down by Demand Studios, not sure why.

Thanks for letting us know how much your making. As you can attest to, there is good money to be made as a freelance writer. However you do have to be good at it, not just okay.

      1. lrohner profile image68
lrohnerposted 14 years agoin reply to this

You only have to be research savvy, somewhat intelligent and able to follow strict guidelines to write for Demand Studios. For the other gigs, you just have to be good at what you do.
