Call of Duty Black Ops 2 How to set up a Run and Gun Class ( BO2 )

Updated on January 14, 2013

Intro

In this guide I will simply teach you how to set your classes up so that you can have a standard run and gun class that will apply to most game modes. This class will include a few different options, but overall will talk about the best ways to set your classes up in order to be the most successful as possible.

If you like what you see I will be posting many other guides for other class set ups, along with all the game modes, zombie guides, and many other things. First off you can follow me on twitter @Johnrr631992 or Twitter.com/Johnrr631992 .

Also you can click on my profile at the top to see the rest of the guides I have posted, as well as check back to see new ones I will be posting.

Also I am on Xbox as MKS JohnR . Or you can comment below at the bottom to let me know what you think of the game, or of the guide, or to let me know what you like overall. Thanks.

ALSO!!! - I am starting a new clan. If you are reading this feel free to message me on Xbox Live, or on Twitter. As of now I am only open to people on Xbox, but will be moving multi-platform in December/January. So please feel free to contact me with questions. Also I will have a Website specifically for the clan, and it will be pretty big.

What is this kind of class

A run and gun class features a set up that allows you to run around the map, not camp, and allows you to maximize the kills on any specific map with ease. This will allow you to successfully kill enemies, and get your score streaks time and time again. Your goal here is that you want to move enough so the enemy will never know your position, and at the same time, you can continue to flank them and get the kills needed to either bring your team to victory or assist them so they can win the game.

The Guns

There is only one really effective gun class for Run and Gun playing. That is the sub machine gun. While some will argue in the comments about the use of shotguns. The sub machine guns are really what is preferred by most, and most people use when they are doing a run and gun strategy. So with that being said I like the Scorpion. I unlocked that at my first prestige, and use that weapon whenever I am doing a run and gun scenario. I think it is extremely effective, and relatively easy to use.

The Perks

When you are choosing perks, there are some that will make using a run and gun method extremely effective. This will allow you to have the most success when you are going to try this method, and will allow you to hopefully get lucky enough to pull off those score streaks time and time again.

Perk 1. Lightweight. This is a must. Being able to outrun opponents, or being able to run faster than your teammates, or being able to move quickly is so effective in a run and gun class. I think this is a MUST for perk 1, and I would not honestly suggest anything else with this.

Perk 2. Here you have a little choice. If you are moving quick enough you do not need cold blooded. Lets face it, even with a UAV, by the time an enemy goes to the location of your dot, you are 20 feet away.. So I would say either Fast Hands to allow that sleight of hand reload, very effective on the Scorpion, and will allow you for more kills. OR Toughness. Toughness will be good in case you do get hit to reduce that flinch and allow you to have better accuracy for taking the enemy out.

Perk 3. Dexterity first off will allow mantling objects much easier. This is effective overall so that you can move around quicker, but with lightweight this is not a must. The must have I think from here is extreme conditioning. I mean you are doing a running class so being able to run for longer distances will greatly increase your chances of being much more successful in the long run. I think this is a must for you to be extremely successful in the game.

MY VIDEO TO MAKE A RUN AND GUN CLASS

Secondary.

I would honestly suggest not using this. The secondary weapons are not effective, and not to mention you are trying to use your primary. Also no need really for rockets on a run and gun class. So I would say cancel this out, and maybe add a second attachment onto your gun, or add another EMP grenade.

Weapon Attachments

As far as weapon attachments go, I would suggest using laser sight, and a red dot. this will overall increase the accuracy DRASTICALLY on your gun, and allow you to get a more accurate spread of fire, when you are trying to kill you enemy opponents. This is something that I truly suggest, and use on all my run and gun classes.

Equipment.

The best equipment for this class setup is EMP grenades, and semtex grenades. These will both allow for instant kills, and allow you to get points even if you die with an emp grenade effective the enemy player.

Summary

So there is a summary of what you should look for when you are trying to create your run and gun class of call of duty black ops 2. This guide can be applied to all game modes, hardcore, and core, and will allow you to have the most success when trying to attempt a run and gun class setup. Thanks.
