How to Maintain at least a 1.0 kill to death ratio in Call Of duty Modern Warfare 3 ( MW3 KD )
This guide will teach the average gamer to get his kill to death ratio up and help them improve that statistic we all care so much about. So what's the big deal?
Well first off, this is the number which it seems that every gamer on call of duty seems to use to compare themselves to the rest. And although its really not important, most will blow this number out of proportions in order to try to get respect, or prove themselves. So below will be my strategy to help you get that number up.
Also.. I am on the Xbox Live network, for those of you who continue to ask, my gamer tag is Agent Johnr. I tend to not add new members from here unless I play with you first, and I only play hardcore domination, or Infected, but either way if you see me on, feel free to send a shout out.
So here we will go over the tips you can use, please remember that this is only STRATEGIES AND TIPS, and that you do not have to follow them, but these will be little things to help you raise your KD ratio up.
First off.. Choosing the right game mode. Finding the perfect game mode for you is what usually raises your KD ratio, and sticking to one game mode. The greats of call of duty do not play every game mode. They stick to one game mode, join a team that plays that game mode and refuse to play other game types. One of the most popular for this is Search and Destroy, or Team death match. These two game modes have a lot of players and teams that only play that game mode. But overall you should find the game mode that fits you, and play with people who like that game mode. trying to play every game mode and always changing things up is not going to help you get your KD up.
The next thing is choosing the right weapon. Typically Light machine guns, and shotguns prove to be statistically low KD ratios because with LMG's they have large recoil, along with slow movement, and shotguns you have to be fairly close, and typically you will get picked off. So that leaves us with Assault rifle, and small machine guns for automatics. These will allow you move-ability, and allow you to simply gain the moves you need to out-due your opponent.
Sniper rifles. Typically i try to stay away from these, Not only am i bad with them, but typically i tend to not like having to scope to kill. I like movement and constantly moving, and not giving away my position. Plus nothing makes me happier than taking out enemy snipers. So overall this can help some raise there kd's but this just is not for me.
Staying out of the open. There is NOTHING easier than taking someone out who is running around in the open. So keep to the shadows. Objects are your friend. Remember to be smart, if you can see them, chances are they can see you, so every advantage of staying behind something helps.
Your kill streaks. Remember that this is where typically 33% of your kills come from if your using assault, so instead of choosing ridiculous kills streaks, use things that are sensible that will help you, that you know you can get at least once each game. and if using support, and worried about your KD ratio, then using the stealth bomber will help you get a few kills on support.
Using steady aim. When you are running and gunning, one strategy is hip firing. By the time you scope up, you could be the target of another persons weapon. So hipfiring allows you to fire without scoping up your gun, and using steady aim, will make your hipfiring more accurate.
Knowing your enemy. What i mean by this is simple. Lets take search and destroy for instance. If you are on defense.. You know your enemy has to go to A, or B.. So if you plant C-4 on B and camp A, then you should guarantee yourself some kills in the process. This works equally for all game modes, if you are playing an objective game, then you should go enar the objective and enemy forces will be there too.
Overall, remember it is just a game. Although your KD ratio may be important to you, it is not important to most. So before you go into a lobby and start with people, and say im better because my KD ratio is higher, pleas refrain. This will annoy most people and start unnecessary fights. Remember that this is just a game, and that you have nor reason that you NEED your kill to death ratio to be higher.
