Prosperity Training Exercises: A New Year's Game

Updated on December 11, 2011

Prosperity is described as a successful and flourishing condition, especially in financial respects. New Year has had the word “prosperous” preceding it for the longest time and yet many times in the past I found myself not actually believing in the statement even if I wished it upon others and upon my self. I was not even aware of my disbelief until I went through the process of shifting from the mindset of scarcity to the mindset of abundance.

The disbelief stemmed from many factors. In keeping with the fun season I thought it best to tackle this subject matter in a different manner by asking you to join me play a game. The game has three levels to it. You will need a pencil to write down your answers for reference. Your honest view of yourself is of utmost importance in this game

Level 1- Point of Departure

You will find 10 statements below. All you have to do is answer “Yes” if you agree with the statement, “No” if you don’t agree at all. Make sure to list down your answers on a piece of paper for reference. Answer as quickly as you can before you proceed to reading the rest of the hub.

  1. Being prosperous is a good thing but I don’t deserve it though.
  2. Of course I want prosperity it’s just that it doesn’t seem to want me.
  3. I don’t think it right to want prosperity too much.
  4. Talking about prosperity all the time gives me the creeps.
  5. Prosperity is not just about money although I do need money to cover my monthly expenses.
  6. Sometimes I feel I want it so much that it hurts.
  7. Prosperity and abundance is over rated.
  8. Sometimes I feel guilty wanting prosperity when many are suffering.
  9. I’m sacred that if I say I want prosperity and it won’t happen, then I’ll just be frustrated so the heck with it.
  10. Prosperity doesn’t happen overnight, you have to work real hard to get it.

Thank you. Now please tally number of “No” answers you have and refer to the interpretation below. Remember the game is not over yet. This is simply a means to get you going to the next level. Part of this Prosperity Game is to make you aware of where you are in this very moment. There is no judgment here only an awareness of your starting point.

9-10 “NO “Answers = ready, willing and able to accept and manage prosperity that the New Year brings

7-8 “NO “Answers = ready and willing to accept the prosperity that the New Year brings

5-6 “NO “Answers = willing to accept some of the prosperity the New Year brings

3-4 “NO “Answers = believes to be ready to accept prosperity but finds the scarcity mindset blocking the way time & again

0-2 “NO “Answers = wants to believe but still reluctant to receive prosperity

Now, you know where you are it’s time you know too that the 10 statements I used in Level 1 were the top 10 Blocks of my own prosperity journey. These were the thoughts that were running in my subconscious that prevented me from drawing in more opportunities to acquiring prosperity in life.

Becoming aware of these thoughts that “resisted” change allowed me to act on them. I share with you now the next level. It is a simple activity meant to assist your mind to be more open to endless possibilities and guide it to focus on positive things in life.

Level 2- Getting Out of the Box

Take a look at the picture above and focus on the small circle in the center. Then move your head toward and away from the screen. Notice how the outer circles rotate on their own.

The same phenomenon exists in dealing with prosperity. You need only to focus on your intent and the energy surrounding you will move on its own. In this case you have to intend to be prosperous or decide to be properous and things will natural flow toward your intent.

Take a look at the image above and find as many faces you can The more you find the better. Take your time. Enjoy the work of art. See beyond the obvious. Try not to strain but rather relax as you appreciate the work of art.

Good. Now, if we take things in the context of "looking at things from the eyes of abundance" you may just see the many faces of prosperity surrounding you.

At this point your mind has had enough exercise on getting away from presumptions or second guessing and taking things as they come. I believe it is about time you move up to the next level.

Level 3 - Prosperity Creation

The task is simple. Get your pen and paper again or your computer's note pad. All you have to do is write down the word Prosperity in big bold capital letters. For each letter of the word write down as many positive words you can think of e.g. P - possibilities, potential, purpose etc. Take your time and enjoy creating more out of Prosperity.

The Prosperity Creation level helps you become more comfortable with the word prosperity. It will no longer be a word associated with disbelief and the like. You would have put in more positive energies into it. Prosperity becomes a word loaded with positive meanings, a word of excitement, a word that induces creativity, a word that brings fun, a word that draws in more abundance and a word that brings laughter and cheer.

If you have joined me in the game then you would have taken major steps to openning more doors for prosperity to come into your life. Congratulations!

If you simply went through this hub then you would have gained more knowledge on what this abundance and prosperity mindset is all about. Congratulations!

Behold the many wonderful surprises that await us all in the coming year. May you truly have a Prosperous and Joyful New Year!
