Wii Sports Resort

Updated on August 16, 2009

Wii Sports Resort

Wii Sports Resort is a great game to play by yourself against yourself or against your friends and family. You'll find that the game can be a great party game as well. You just want to make sure that whoever is going to play has a Wii MotionPlus accessory. One comes with the game, but you'll want to make sure that everyone playing as one, as the Wii accessory is required for each controller in order to play the game.

Up to 4 players can play at a time, so small group parties are great, or you'll just need to learn how to take turns.

There are many games that you can play together, such as sword play, disc dog, sky diving, and power cruising.

For the most part, the controls are simple and easy to use, and don't be scared to sweat a little because it's bound to happen, even though Wii Sports Resort isn't geared as on of Nintendo's fitness games.

Wii Sports Resort Review

You will swing into action with Wii Sports Resort. Using your Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus accessory, you will be able to compete in so many activities that you won't see very often in daily life. You can race water scooters, toss a flying disc to a dog, sword fight your buddies or the computer, canoe down the river, and bicycle all over.

You Mii character will definitely get a workout with this game. It's not one that you'll be able to sit and play with easily, and using the Wii Motion Plus accessory, your accuracy will be so much better, making the game a tad easier and more fun to play.

But, you will find that even though there is a little more depth to the game in regards to play modes and achievements, this Wii game lacks a large number of course and objectives. Most of the games lead  to a good bit of enjoyment, so if they had more courses or more objectives during the games, it'd would just make them better.

Just some of the games that you can play with Wii Sports Resort, and remember that there are many games that are unlocked or that have additional games associated with them.

  • Archery
  • Basketball
  • Bowling
  • Canoeing
  • Cycling
  • Frisbee
  • Golf
  • Jet Ski
  • Parachuting
  • Ping Pong
  • Sword fighting
  • Wake boarding

Depending on how hard you play the games, you may be able to get away with sitting on the couch, but again that's just not the full point of Wii Sports Resort, even though it's not fully incorporated into Wii's fitness game series.
