Top 10 Games for Low End PCs
I was stuck in a crappy machine once and yeah it sucks. You try to install games but most of them stutter every second. Still, I managed to find a number of low end video games that can be considered classics but offer solid gameplay elements that can keep you entertained for hours.
The games listed have the MAXIMUM requirement of a single core 3.0 GHz processor, 512mb Ram and 512 mb video card. As far as I know, a built in Intel HD graphics can run these games.
PS. I do not guarantee that every game will run smoothly on your engine since there might be other stuff in your machine that prevents the game from running.
1. Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
System Requirements: 1gb hdd | 256mb RAM | 32mb video card | 500mhz processor
A true masterpiece, Morrowind is considered by many as the best Elder Scrolls game. The video game packs a solid gameplay with rich story telling and interactive npcs. The world detail will just leave you jaw hanging. You can spend hundreds of hours just to explore the world even without doing any quests.
2. Fable: Lost Chapters
System Requirements: 3gb HDD | 256mb RAM | 64mb video card | 1.4GHz processor
Fable is an open world rpg fantasy video game that features a unique game element called the Alignment. The Alignment measures the Hero's Good and Evil which are greatly affected by the player's actions and how the hero interacts with the world.
3. Half Life Series
System Requirements: 512mb RAM | 512mb video card | 1.7GHz processor
The Half Life series is critically acclaimed by critics and gamers alike and even hailed as one of the best FPS games ever. Full of solid FPS action and challenging puzzles, the Half Life series has an excellent story that introduces you to a number of memorable characters. This game series is truly a must have especially if you're a PC gamer.
4. Mount and Blade series

The Mount and Blade series is a single player medieval rpg game. The game series is most well known for its sandbox style gameplay and the almost non existent storyline. Aquaria is a beautiful looking 2D side scrolling video game with a really good and relaxing soundtrack. The game features a non linear gameplay and you are free to explore the underwater labyrinths to discover treasures and secrets.
6. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
System Requiremens: 1.3gb HDD | 128mb RAM | 32mb video card | 450mhz processor
Packed with non stop lightsaber action, Jedi Academy is one of the best Star Wars games out there. A significant improvement from it's predecessor, Jedi Outcast, this game introduces tons of new features including new lightsaber forms and player customization.
7. Command & Conquer: Red Alert series
System Requirements: 500mb HDD | 256mb RAM | 64mb video card | 1.0GHz processor
Red Alert is definitely one of the best Real Time Strategy (RTS) games ever. It can be considered as one of the pioneers of RTS video games. The gameplay is simple enough as it is. You start off with a small unit, gather resources to expand your base, build an army and defeat your enemies.
8. Sim City 4

Sim City 4 is a city building simulation game by EA. The game gives you the role of the mayor and puts you in charge in zoning areas where you can build different types of buildings, commercial, industrial or residential to create an actual working city. There are a lot of decisions to make like managing the budget, and keeping your residents happy. Many players who are disappointed with the Sim City reboot frequently goes back to this classic.

10. Freedom Fighters
System Requirements: 650mb HDD | 128mb RAM | 32mb video card | 733MHz processor
Freedom fighters is a third person shooter mixed with tactical elements. The story is set in an alternate reality where the Russians invades the US. You control a character named Christopher Stone as you traverse in various areas of the US to gain followers and repel the invading forces. The game has a unique feature known as the Charisma. As your Charisma grows, the number of followers you can take with you increases to a maximum of 12. These followers can be given orders like attack, guard etc.
