Dragon Age Revenant

The dragon age revenant is a difficult opponent to defeat. One cannot reasonably enjoy defeating a dragon age revenant until at least the 14th level, where double specialization and enabling one to use an arcane warrior mage to attack the dragon age revenant is possible. Here we detail some of the things essential in defeating a dragon age revenant.

First a dragon age revenant is a body which is inhabited by demons from the Fade. Such an entity is immune to the damage from cold spells, but not so from the freezing effect of the cold spell. As can be seen in the picture above, one must have adequate amounts of healing potions in the backpack, for the primary arcane warrior mage attacking.

Next the dragon age revenant is surrounded by the team members. Dont bother running around or out of the room as the dragon age revenant has a special pull ability that inflicts a large amount of damage and nullifies the run away, recover and attack strategy. Here we see the party surrounding the revenant and giving it all they have got. On the left of the arcane warrior mage is Morrigan launching her Cone of Cold to freeze the revenant.

Using the Arcane Warrior Mage Effectively

The revenant is now frozen. Using basic spells, lighting bolt and arcane bolt, zap the dragon age revenant over and over again. These spells are quick firing and take very little time to recover at high levels. In this example, they do damage from the 11 point to 55 point range, which is pretty good against the revenant.

In the Meantime

In the Meantime, Zevran and Leliana (not the greatest tanks in the world; in fact in this example, the arcane warrior mage is the TANK, hence double specialization is great!) continue slashing at the dragon age revenant. Not very effectively, a lot more misses than hits ...... need to improve their weapons. However, you never know, just when you think the final blow will come from the arcane warrior, in fact it is Zevran with his stealth sneak attack and double weapon mastery who deals the final blow.

Defeating the Revenant Rewards

Defeating the dragon age revenant has many rewards - completing the black vial quest rewards one with XP and Deat Coat of Arms shield. Of course the revenants are heavily involved with the Mage's Treasure Quest, resulting in lots more useful items. Defeating a single revenant in this case is different from defeating a revenant supported by his army of undead legions.

Picture storytelling is never as good as video recap. A video recap of defeating a dragon age revenant will be posted here in the near future.
