Unfortunately you are not going to get rich like most of the ebook sellers will have you believe. An approxmiate average salary for a new tester is about $10 per hour. You can earn more than this, but you would be lucky to. This will increase as you get more experienced, I have been testing games for a few years now and am usually making about $20 per hour. Its a great foot in the door to the video games industry though, so after a couple of years involved with testing, you could move on to something else that pays more. The most important thing is YOU'RE IN I posted about it on my hub, and I have a website on how I became a video game tester at www.videogame-tester.org so check it out if you want more details.
The expected pay for a video game tester depends on the company and your location. But it can range from about $8.50 - $15 an hour. If you have more experience and are going to be a lead tester it can go up to around $20 an hour.
