I did not go to school for 8 months due to typhoid fever it was the happiest memory. I hate going to school those time and i was a happy movement.
My happiest childhood memory I can actually remember would probably be when I was 10. My mother came to pick me up when I had no clue she was even coming. It was 8:00+ and on a school night. Winter break was 2-3 weeks away. My dad had come in asking what I was doing. I told him I was reading (Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader). I asked him why he was standing there with a big smile and he told me to look out the window. After looking outside, I saw a car on the street which I realized was my mother's car. I turned around and looked downstairs and saw my mother walking up. By the way I was in fifth grade and my parents never married so... Yes, I'm a bastard child.
My earliest childhood memory is the dinner time with our grandfather. He used to make rice balls mixed with all the dishes served in his plate, and give three of us separately, which used to be very tasty, and even today the taste lingers on my tongue. Our parents used to tell us to take from our own plate and eat without disturbing him, but he used to enjoy giving us first and see us relishing it, as well. Those moments are precious memories of my life.
I have plenty of them. So many little things - the games we played, the exposure to mother nature we had in our village, our home garden, the huge house where we lived - so many of them.
Even thoughts of odd people I came across and memories of stray incidences that happened in childhood makes me happy.
Here you can peep into one of my humorous childhood anecdotes:
Terminator 2 movie. I watched it about 20 times in 90's

What is the scariest childhood memory, which still sticks with you today?I was about four or five years old when a lightening storm woke me up and my brother took me to a rocking chair in the living room, near the front door. As he was attempting to rock me back to sleep, the wind busted open...
