The best voice acting you've heard in video gaming?
I've already asked what the worst is, so now it's time for the best. I personally Kaos (spelling intended) from the Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure game, who was also the voice of Invader Zim. He's a funny antagonist with threatening dialogue. Or how about Arbo from the same game, who was also a basic but yet generally stupid character? What's your favourite moment in voice acting for video games, and why?
I like Geralt's voice from the witcher, alot of people complain its bad but i like it. xD
Decard Cain from Diablo of course!
"Greetings! Stay Awhile And Listen."
I would have to say the best voice acting I have heard in a game is Dragon Quest 8 : Journey of the Cursed King. The Western version had a great UK cast, with some really great characterisation and accents.
Really added to the immersive nature of the game.
I think that Dragon Age: Origins did an especially good job with their voices. In particular the character of Leliana played by Corinne Kempa.
I don't know if I could pinpoint a specific voice actor, but I've been repeatedly blown away by the voice acting in The Old Republic. While they didn't pioneer voice acting in MMOs, they did bring it to near perfection. There are even times where I forget that I'm grinding quests altogether. Some might argue that this emphasis on story takes away from the multiplayer aspect of the game, and I would agree, but that doesn't mean it wasn't well done.
Hands down Wheatley from Portal 2. Not only was the script great for that game, but he did a great job with the voice acting as well.
