Gambling is legal here and is taxed by our government which uses that income to provide its members of parliament with: free insurance, travel, along with housing allowances and superannuation. yikes

Seriously, I'm not mocking because I truly don't know where you guys are from.  In the U.S. gambling is legal in some states.  Where I'm from we can by scratch off tabs and lottery tickets pretty much anywhere.  If you want to play slot machines and that type of stuff you have to go to a casino that is owned by a native american tribe.  It is designed to employ and to bring money to the tribe.  It is a choice to play or not to play.  While, I see it as gaming and would never spend more than I can afford.....so, its not like they are stealing from me.  I choose to drive there, I choose to get the coins to play the machines and I choose to continue pumping those coins into the machines or throwing them on the card table.  Unfortunately, there are some that want the get rich quick fix by throwing ALL of their money on the table.  But certainly, again, that is a choice.  No one grabs these people off the street and pulls them into the place, makes them buy the chips and forces them to insert them into the machines.

But that's just here...I don't know about anywhere else big_smile

From one dog to another hehe
I was referring to people who have a real gambling problem as the "poor". Seems like taking advantage of peoples addictions, which is why it just seems wrong to me. Most of the money made at gambling houses is made from those "addicted" gamblers.
I like you can take it or leave it (I hate losing hard earned money.) But I feel for those with the gambling "bug".

OF course gambling should be legal, people are doing it even if it isn't!
