Why am I having such a hard time getting in the mood for Christmas, even to go to the mall to shop?
Is it maybe depression? So many people do get depressed during the holidays.
That's what came to my mind, depression. Enjoyment of things is one of the first things to go.
At first I wondered about that, just didn't feel like shopping and even took me a bit before I decorated. Well tonight I got a fair bit of shopping done with a few left to do tomorrow.Baking on the weekend, but I know the holidays can be depressing
I've been struggling this year because the place where I live has had no snow. Traditionally we get it the worst, but at most we've had a dusting. It just doesn't quite feel like Christmas without snow. Some things do help though, like decorating and listening to holiday music. I've supplemented the snow problem by making my computer wallpaper into a wintery scene. It can't fully make up for the lack of real snow, but it helps.
I think I have to agree with you on that one. We have no snow except for rain. I also think because with the family growing , it just doesn't seem the same. I will take your advise thou I have started decorating but maybe I need to do more..
