LeapFrog LeapPad2 Explorer Review

Updated on April 20, 2013

A Complete Review of The Leapfrog Leap Pad 2 Explorer

The leadfrog lead pad 2 explorer is by far one of the best learning tablets made for kids. I think that the company has done a great job with this one. Parents love them and kids love them as well and I can understand why.

It is the perfect tablet for kids. My three year old daughter has one and I have to say we are both happy about it. You heard right, not only is she happy, but I am happy as well- You will learn why below....

Leapfrog Leappad2 Explorer Green - Kids love them!

Details About The leapfrog Leap Pad 2 Explorer

The leapfrog leap pad 2 explorer has everything that a child needs in order to imagine and learn. With the leapfrog leapad2, your child has 4 GB worth of space in order to have as much fun as they want.

It is user friendly and since it is made for kids, you will not have to worry about your child breaking it. It has front and back cameras as well as video recorders. It has 5 apps: leaning songs, art studios, Pet Pad, Carton Director app and 1 pad of your choice. It requires 4 AA batteries, but they are not included. It is compatible with the LeapPad2 Recharger Pack.

Why I Like the LeapFrog Leappad 2 Explorer Tablet?

Well, before buying the leapfrog leappad 2 explorer tablet for my 3 year old daughter, I used to let her play with my PSP as well as my Nintendo DS. It is only safe to say that she broke both of them. It is not her fault that broke them, I should have known better and not let her play with them since they are not made for kids. Live and learm, right?

I am happy to report that since my daughter has this learning tablet, I don't have to share my tablets with her anymore and I must admit it is a good thing.

Kids Love the LeapFrog LeapPad2 Explorer!

The reason why kids love the leapfrog leappad2 explorer is because it doesn't take them long to understand how to use the applications. In a short period of time, my daughter had mastered at least 50 percent of how the leapfrog leappad 2 worked.

I remember when she used to play with my Nintendo DS, she used to get frustrated when she would have a hard time using the screen and stylus, and I used to have to help out a lot, but now, she does not need me as much to use the screen or anything else when using her new leap pad2.

Is There a Negative Side to The leapfrog leappad 2?

I don't think there is a negative side to this leapfrog leappad 2 because although it costs 99 dollars, which could potentially be a negative aspect if you do not have the money to spend on it, but I think it is worth every penny.

I guess the only thing I can say, which is not really something negative is for parents not to let the kids play too much with it because I believe these types of devices can hinder the child to concentrate and use his or her imaginations and have social skill issues in the future. I try not to let my daughter use it more than 2 hours a day and sometime less. She really enjoys playing with it; therefore it is not always easy to make her stop, but to me, that is not really negative.
