Learning Resources Pretend & Play Doctor Set

Updated on July 5, 2011

Doctor Playset

I think we all played doctor when we were kids. As children, we loved playing pretend. We could be anything that we wanted to be. And our kids are the same way. They love to fantasize and pretend.  One of the all time favorite characters that children like  to dress up as is the doctor.  When kids play dress up it is both fun and educational.  Children learn through play how to help people. But more importantly playing with a pretend doctor set, little ones learn to overcome some fear and anxiety about going to the doctors for their check-ups. Parents find when children play doctor they have less fear of receiving their immunization shots. Children realize that doctors are there to help people, not hurt people.

Learning Resources Pretend & Play Doctor Set

Pretend and Play Doctor Set

The Learning Resources Pretend & Play Doctor Set is awesome. This pretend doctor set has lots of pieces so several children can play at the same time. This is much more much more grown up than most doctor play sets that are out there. It is not a baby toy. The pretend Stethoscope actually makes realistic sounds. You can hear a cough or a heartbeat with the stethoscope. The pager beeps just like a real pager would. It even comes with a name tag to wear as well and some very cute glasses. So everyone will know that he or she is the doctor. Everything fits in the nice doctor bag carry case. This set is very durable too. It can tolerate lots of play. This doctors set will keep your child entertained for hours.

This set is perfect as a birthday or Christmas gift for any boy or girl who loves to play pretend.

I used to love playing doctors and nurses, I wish those toys had been around then.

We all remember playing 'doctors and nurses'. It was a fundamental of growing up. Great learning resource for an active mind and for personal interaction. Anything to support child learning is good in my book.

It really is amazing how toys have changed so much and for the better. This doctors set would give the kids great fun but also make them be less afraid if they have to visit the doctors or spend time in hospital
