10 Tips To Make Your Life Incredible

Everyone wants a good life don’t they? I sure do. We all want to have peace in life and a big piece of the pie. It seems simple but most people hate their jobs and long for something more; something better.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Life is what you make it. You want to be happy? Do happy things. Want success? Do what successful people do.

Are you getting the opposite results? Look inside and see where it’s coming from. I’m not here to tell you how to get rich quick or find that perfect mate in four easy steps. This is not that kind of article. I’m going to guide you through the maze of life with the tools to help you succeed in all areas. I know these work because I use them all on my life. They are simple to follow if you want to follow them.

Here are 10 tips to get you where you want to be and the time to start is now!

1. Keep Positive

This is one of the most important tips and it certainly has to be the first. Every building needs a foundation or it will crumble. Your life is no different. When you have the right base then every decision and action is clearer.

Start being positive as soon as you can. It’s a state of mind not a state of circumstance. From the time you get up in the morning until you hit the pillow, think positive thoughts. Habits are formed everyday and you need this one. At first it will be a chore, especially if you have always been negative. Do it anyway. Over time it will be part of who you are. People will gravitate to you because of it. You can be patient zero and spread your positivity like a virus.

  • I don’t let negative thoughts stick around. I flush them and look to the positive!

2. Get Up Early

Now that you know where your head should be at, you gotta get it going. Start your day early.

How many of you have extra time during the day? We all have 24 hrs and we can’t borrow from tomorrow. How you spend your allotted time each day will affect your life outcome.

Getting up early sets the tone. You can schedule out everything you need to do and get a jump on it. Most of us peter out by nighttime so getting going earlier makes sure you don’t run out of steam. Start off by making a list. Work off of it daily and cross off what you have completed. It’s amazing how much stuff you can get done when you get an early start.

  • I get up early every morning and hit the floor running!

3. Get Lots Of Sleep

Ok so what are you doing before you get up early? Sleeping I hope. Sleep is so important. Without it you won’t be functioning at full capacity. You don’t want to drag yourself though the day with your eyes half open. That’s not fun. It’s better to be well rested so when you get up early you can hit the floor running.

How much rest do you need? You know yourself better than anyone. 8 hours seems like a nice number but get what you need. Some days will be busy and you might not clock in enough shut eye but do what you can. Getting enough sleep will keep you at your best and you need your best to be successful. How about naps? Fit them in when possible. Quick meditations and deep breathing can give you the boost you may need throughout the day.

  • I shoot for 7-8 hours everyday!

4. Eat Healthy

Fuel. You need it to run your car and you need it to run your body. If your tank is empty, so is your mind. Too little or too much is no good. Eat and listen to your body. It will tell you what it wants. Unfortunately your mind might not be in agreement.

What you eat is very important. If you want to be at your best then feed yourself as best as you an. There are tonnes of choices in the grocery store and too many restaurants and fast food places.

There is also no shortage of diets and eating plans out there. Do your research and experiment with your body. No plan fits everybody. Tweak your plan to fit you. Personally, I eat 2 meals a day and intermittent fast for 18hrs. I eat as close to Keto as I can but also enjoy the occasional “bad” food. It’s all a balance so make sure your scales tilt towards health.

  • I love meat, veggies and healthy fats!

5. Let Go Of Baggage

It’s really hard to carry extra weight around. I’m not talking about your waistline. I mean the emotional luggage that we just can’t seem to put down. Negative emotions and past regrets are a heavy burden that we shouldn’t pack everywhere we go.

Let’s do a quick experiment. Pick up a book and hold it with your arm straight out. At 1 minute it’s pretty painless. Stay there for 10 minutes and you can feel the burn. Try an hour and it’s almost unbearable. Imagine how your mind is coping with the weight.

It really is a bad habit to dwell on the negative. You can’t change the past and the future is uncertain. All you have is today and that is where your mind should be. Don’t get me wrong. Pleasant memories are healthy and help change your mood. They turn those frowns upside down. Hope for the future and positive planning is vital. Wisdom is gained from past experience. Even negative circumstances can produce positive results if you learn from them.

So how do you drop the baggage? Work on it. When bad thoughts come in, recognize them and dump them. There are some good technics for clearing your mind that you can try.

  • Meditation and tapping have worked wonders for me. Give them a try and free your mind!

6. Discover Your Passion

Are you living the life you want? Is your job exciting and rewarding. Are you fulfilled? If you answered no to any of these then you need a change.

What are you good at? We all have natural abilities that lend themselves to something. Maybe it’s musical or maybe it’s mechanical. There is something that you can do that comes easy to you. You may even have the skill set to pick up new things with ease.

Now what’s the most important thing on your mind? We all have something that drives us. It could be desire or it could be need but we all have passion. Your job is to find it and pursue it. Living a passionate life makes life worth living.

  • I balance my work life and pursue my dreams and goals!

7. Work Hard And Smart

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could work a job that we are passionate about? If you are lucky you can find one. If not, then find a job that pays well or gives you time to follow your dreams in your spare time.

Remember: We trade time for money

Make the most of your time while at work and put your all into it. If not then why are you there? Don’t like the job? Find another one.

Remember we have to be smart in this life. We have to make the right moves to get us to the finish line and you decide what the finish line is. Getting to where you’re going costs money. Go make a bunch because life is way easier with more of it.

Balance life and lifestyle. You can retire on $1,000,000 and $100,000. Pick your spot on the scale.

  • While I strive for success I always live within my means!

8. Give More Than You Receive

Have you ever heard the phrase “The more you give the more you get?” Sounds good but there are no guarantees. Life is cruel and sometimes you get the short end of the stick.

There is a great practice to implement in your life that will change your perspective on suffering and help you become part of the solution. Start giving. Give of your time, talent and treasure. If you are lucky you have an abundance of all three. Whatever you can afford to give, give.

It’s smallest stones that make the biggest ripple. Can’t build a wing at the local children’s hospital? How about next time you’re at the drive through, pay for the car behind you.

That starts the power of paying it forward. Just give to give and like spreading positivity you can start a charity chain that will travel across the world.

  • I feel so good when I can help another person!

9. Discover Your World

Look around you. There’s an amazing world to explore. You can find wonder and whimsy if you look for it.

Most of us are on autopilot. We get up and drive to work. That night we drive back home and ride out the night on the couch. Next day... rinse and repeat. Maybe on the weekend you do some fun things but is that really enough?

I challenge you to slow down and take a good look at the beauty that surrounds us. Forget the tourist spots. Go to a remote beach or follow a less travelled trail. Plant a small garden and watch it grow. Take up a new, crazy hobby and expand your knowledge. Challenge yourself to leave the protective bubble of life.

It doesn’t have to be a trip to Europe although that would be awesome.

  • Do what you can but just DO!

10. Find Love

I left this one for last. Not because it’s the least important but because it’s the most important. Love conquers all. I could just leave it there and that would be enough. Fortunately I have so much more to say on the subject.

What is love? More than a feeling? Actions and words? That’s a good start. It’s a hard one to describe but you know it when you’re in it. Or do you?

Don’t confuse love with lust, desire or companionship. These 3 words can be part of your love puzzle but you need more pieces to get there.

Love is an experience like no other. You develop blinders and laser focus on your one true love. They matter most. They don’t just get you, they get the best of you. You connect with them and it’s a party of 2. If you don’t know what I’m saying then maybe you’ve never been in love. That’s ok though; there’s always time for love.

There is no other feeling like giving and receiving love. It’s magic!

  • I have been married for 26 years and have an abundance of love in my life!

Well there it is. 10 tips to make your life incredible. Implement all these tips and your life will change forever. It’s absolutely possible to do it if you work at it. Don’t stop till you find your best life.

It’s right there waiting for you. Go take it.
