What is a secret to a long life? There are many factors in how you can live a long life. Some of the factors are already recognized by most of us. Eating vegetables can lead you to have a longer life. In short, eat more healthy food such as vegetables, nuts, seafood, and seaweeds.
How my grandmother live for over 90 years?
My grandmother lives for 90 years. She only eats vegetables, seafood, and seaweeds. Sometimes raw vegetables like carrots, lettuce, and even the sweet potato. She also prefers to cook the vegetables in boiling water than to suite it in cooking oil. She also prefers to cook the fish in a soup than to fry it. She is not a health-conscious. She is just an ancestor who lives in a simple way of living. That's how she lives a long life. I remember when I was young, she told me to eat more vegetables, especially Malunggay. But I was too stubborn during those times. I prefer to eat canned sardines than to eat Malunggay. The only vegetable I eat in my childhood days is the Sayote and Papaya. My grandmother scolded me for that.
Some reasons to our short life expectancy
But she is also a workaholic. She woke up early at 2 am, or 3 am to start cooking food for sale. So at 6 am she can start selling the food. She will spend her whole day at her simple mini business. After all tiring day, she will wash her face at night before she slept. Because of this habit, her eyes were affected when she got old. She got blind at the age of 86.
Secret behind to a long life that can let you live a hundred years
I can say that the secret to a long life is not just by eating healthy foods, proper diet, or exercising regularly, but rather it depends all on our habits. Life-balance is a secret to a long life. Eat healthy food and exercise regularly. Also, no matter how busy you are, you should have enough sleep. According to the expert, having enough sleep can extend our life expectancy. Adults or children must have a sleep of an average of at least 8 to 9 hours daily. Drink water every day of at least 6-8 glasses. Enjoy life! Always smile, because smiling look us younger. Choose your circle of friends. It also has a benefit to live a long life.
