Bring It: P90X Day 54

Updated on November 26, 2011

P90X is an extreme workout created by Tony Horton. With the concept of muscle confusion, it is full of promises to change you body, change your life, and keep you away from those plataues. This is my personal journey to see whether or not this workout can bring what it promises. I am already well through half of it, and I am still going strong.

Please leave your comments below. I love hearing your own personal stories, your tidbits of advice and your continued motivation. Thanks for your support!

P90X is an extreme workout. It may not be for everyone, but if you are looking for a change, it must might be for you.

Bring It

Today is another Day of Core Synergistics, however, I have already decided this workout is out of my league. After having surgery on my abdominal area, I just can't hack it. Sure, in the future, maybe round two or round three, I might actually be strong enough to start doing this workout. For the time being, I need to know my limits.

It is important to know your limits because when you reach beyond those limits, your chances of getting injuried increase. After Monday's workout, I realized I need to switch this workout out with something I know I can do and not worry about hurting myself. After all, getting injuried is not an option. That would put me out of this workout and would set me back on all the results I have already achieved. I don't want to do that!

So instead, I did the CardioX. This workout was great because not only was it shorter than the normal workouts (which is a bonus because we are in a hurry!), but it also combined all of my favorite moves in one place! So, even though I am about to head on a mini-vacation, I still was able to Bring It with my workout!

Time for a Road Trip

When I found out RealHousewife was heading to Vegas, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to meet her face to face. Looks like a roadtrip is on the list!

The Lights of the Big City!

I have only been to Vegas with kids, otherwise, my experience of Vegas is about driving past it during our roadtrips!

Viva Las Vegas!!!

You heard it right - this girl is headed to Vegas. When you have been working hard, it is important to reward yourself with something. For me, it is a chance to head to the city that doesn't sleep.

I am not really sure what is in the plans, but I do know something is for certain. After months and months of chatting back and forth, I finally get to meet Realhousewife. I never really thought that I would meet someone off the internet that I would completely click with and never have met them in person. Well, after today, that is going to change. Yes - I am absolutely excited.

So, while I might splurge a little with a drink or two, and I might not make the healthies choices, I know I will work it off by walking the strip. If anything, between the two of us, we will probably be laughing nonstop. Heck, we laugh without actually being in the same room. In the same room, I don't think it will even stop!

According to a Vanderbilt University Medical Center research, laughing actually burns calories. Maciej Buchowski, Ph.D., said "laughing raises energy expenditure and increases heart rate 10 percent to 20 percent. Ten to 15 minutes of laughter could increase energy expenditure by 10 to 40 calories per day, which could translate into about four pounds a year."

Now, with that in mind, think of a full day of nothign but laughing. I am sure together we will be burning the calories just with keeping each other's company.

So, while I am out enjoying the nightlife, tell a bad joke, call a friend, but make sure you get a few minutes of good hard laughter in!
