Bring It: P90X Day 55

Updated on April 30, 2012

P90X is an extreme workout program created by Tony Horton. But, even the most extreme of workouts deserve a break. That is why there is recovery week - a chance to take a break from the hard core lifting and throw in a little core work. This is how P90X works - by the concept of muscle confusion. The recovery week gives your body a break and helps it rejuvinate and rebuild!

Feel free to leave your comments below. Without your extra kick in the pants, I am not sure I would have gotten as far as I have in this personal journey! Thank you for your support!

Bring It

Today I am making an executive decision. That is right - I am the CEO in the company called My Health and it gives me the power to make such a decision. That means today I am switching out my workout day.

This is my Recovery Week. That means this is a jump down from the normal hard-core workouts (at least that is what I have been told! I still don't believe it. I think it is just as hard, if not harder than the regular week!) Because of that, my normal Kenpo workout will return next week and today on the schedule is Yoga.

But - I have made the executive decision not to do Yoga today. Why you may ask after 55 days of working out - because I just don't have the time or the energy. So what I am going to do is switch my workout out with tomorrow's day of rest. So today I am resting - and tomorrow I will do Yoga before starting Phase 3!

I don't consider this a failure in my motivation - I consider this letting life happen. Sometimes it does and we have to accomodate to make things work for us. I am tired today - and if were to do Yoga, I know I wouldn't be putting forth my best effort.

How about you...

Have you been to Vegas?

So, if you have been following my journey - you know I was in Las Vegas yesterday. I got my workout in and I got my hub published and I got on the road. It was about a four hour drive. When we got there, we did a bunch of exploring.

Needless to say, it was a late (but fun) night and when you are in Vegas sleep is overated! So, today as we returned home, we are a bit tired!

I will be back tomorrow. But just remember, to keep moving on and modify to life's forks in the road. After all, the trip to Vegas was a great way to rejuvinate and I would rather switch my workouts out then to have just stayed home!
