Bring It: P90X Day 56

Updated on November 28, 2011

Just push play! That is the key behind getting started and continuing on through P90X. Yet, it isn't a program for everybody. It is tough! It is hardcore! It works!

Tony Horton created P90X with the concept of muscle confusion. By pushing yourself to the extreme and changing things up, plateaus will be a thing of the past. The exercises are simple, yet hard and effective. We all know the exercises and they don't require special steps or a few workouts to finally get them down. Yet, by the time you get halfway through this program, you will have seen the changes these simple exercises can create.

Feel free to leave your comments below. That way we can all learn from each other and help motivate each other to continue on our journey to being healthier!

Bring It

This should have been my day of rest. However, yesterday I was exhausted and so I made an executive decision to switch days. I knew if I did my workout yesterday, I wouldn't have gotten a good workout. I probably would have just floated through it. So, while today was suppossed to be a day of rest, I was doing YogaX instead.

At the beginning of this journey, I didn't care for YogaX at all. In fact, I downright hated it. It was difficult; it hurt; and it put my body in positions I didn't think was possible.

So today, even though I was still feeling a little lazy, I followed my motto of "Just Push Play!" I wasn't really in the mood for working out. But I think that comes from having my schedule all messed up for the entire week. The kids were out of school; Thanksgiving was a feasts; and then an impromptu trip to Vegas - I was a busy bee and feeling a little lazy from it!

But I did it and I am glad I did. YogaX has been completed and I feel great!

How about you...

Which do you feel is a better show of results?

Feeling the change...

There comes a point in your workouts when you see the change. You look in the mirror and you don't realize who you are looking at. I have seen that over the last couple of weeks. I can physically see the changes happening.

Just yesterday I put on a pair of lounging pants that I got last February. I remember it because my husband picked them up for me for Valentine's Day. He thought it would be something I would like because they were soft and comfy. But, that wasn't the case. In fact, the pants were to tight. I could still wear them, but the waist was a bit restricting and frankly, my thighs were exploding the material. I also noticed they were to short. Possibly because the length was being used for the width.

Well, yesterday I put on these same pants and they hung off me. In fact, they look downright ridiculous. I look like a kid wearing my mom's clothes. They are absolutely huge. Now, I am not going to get rid of them. After all, my husband was right. They are comfy and soft and good for lounging. So what if they make me look like I am drowning in them. Maybe that is also part of the appeal!

Then today was when I really noticed something else. It was in my yoga poses. I always liked yoga, but I really struggled to get through some of the moves in YogaX. Yet, halfway throught the video, I noticed I wasn't really struggling anymore. I was going through the poses just like they were on the DVD. Suddendly it clicked. I am much stronger than I was 56 days ago.

These are the results. In the first part, you will see the physical changes. These will be the most noticeable if you really have a lot of toning and weight to lose because here you will be really reshaping your body. But suddenly, after weeks of struggling and pushing to get through the workouts, one day you just do it. And while it still isn't easy, you found you weren't mentally complaining how weak you were. That is a great feeling!

Want More...
