Bring It: P90X Day 84
P90X is an extreme workout and is geared toward training your body into a different type of lifestyle. Tony Horton created this DVD series based off muscle confusion - pushing your body the hardest during the last three reps and having enough variety to keep those muscles guessing. This means those dreaded plateaus are to be a thing of the past.
This here is my personal journey. I wanted to test this program as an average normal person. While I do have a think for exercise programs.... you should see my box of equipment to get in shape... I don't consider myself extreme or athletic. I am average and the results I see are probably going to be typical of what others will see as well. You see, I am testing the program. I am not testing how good I am at nutrition. While I have noticed my eating habits have become healthier naturally through doing this program, changing my eating habits wasn't something I did combined with this progrom because I wanted to see the results just from P90X.

Bring It
Ah - Christmas Day is finally here... and as I write this... it has finally ended. Ok - well the house has cleared out from the family and friends and I am left to myself to deal with the incredible amounts of toys and gifts that have somehow found a home scattered across the livingroom floor.
Thankfully, when it comes to P90X, today was a day of rest or StretchX. Today, I chose rest... even though the day was far from restful. Not only did we spend the majority of the morning opening presents, we then had a nice Christmas Brunch at our house with family. That of course was followed by more presents.
By the time everybody cleared out of the house, my house was in need of a good cleaning. Dishes cluttered the kitchen and wrapping paper covered the rest of the house. After finally finishing everything up, I am exhausted. Needless to say - I don't even have the energy to stretch.
Christmas cookies, peanut butter balls... oh my
Today was a day of indulgence. In my journey to get healthy through exercise and lose weight, I have never been tempted by so many sweets and goodies. However, I am the one that did the baking... so I am the one that did it to myself. While it tasted good, I can tell I am not used to eating the junk anymore. I am not feeling the best (it could be the 3 pots of coffee...), or it could be the peanut butter balls I had to try!
So this year I learned a holiday lesson. It is ok to indulge, but use that feeling to make healthier choices throughout the rest of the year!
Merry Christmas
I want to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas. While I did take the day off, tomorrow I have bigger reasons to push myself even harder. Tomorrow is results day and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the holidays didn't do me in!
So, I hope you had a great day... and tomorrow is time to get back on track!
