Can you lose weight by walking?

Weight loss is a topic everyone in the world is talking about. For some people it make take weeks and it could even takes months for others. But there are secrets and tips that no one is teaching the world about weight loss.

Walking for weight loss has been proven to be one of the most easiest and beneficial ways of exercise. Many people all over the world are struggling to shed a few pounds. Many people are worrying about how to lose weight in a week and how many calories should they eat to lose weight. But worrying about these things won't solve your problem to weight loss in the future. This is why i am going to tell you that walking is going to solve your problem.

As i mentioned in my other hub about how i lost weight by running http://rodlyalcide.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-lose-weight-by-being-smart, I didn't mention that walking was in my exercise plan as well. I was one of those people labeled a fat american and I was tired of being put into a category and i had to do something about it. So i did research like everyone else trying to lose weight and i did research about how to lose weight fast. Of course i didn't expect walking to be a fast way of losing weight.

As i did more research i discovered that walking is one of the exercises that burns the most fat in the stomach and it makes the chances of heart attacks less. After finding this out i was completely amazed with the things walking can do. The same day i created a plan to walk everyday for 3 hours. I was very happy to get started and the next day i started my weight loss journey.

On my first day of walking for 3 hours i was pumped and ready to get started. Just to give a tip for everyone, If you are not going to be happy while walking then please don't attempt to try. This may cause stress and it may be bad for your health. Also many people wonder how to lose weight fast without exercise. You can lose weight but exercise speeds up the process.

When i was done with my 3 hour walk, i felt rejuvenated. I felt like a load was lifted off my shoulders and i was very happy with the outcome. Within a week i lost 5 pounds and on that day i turned into a little crying baby and i teared up. I cried because i accomplished something that i never though i could before. I knew in order for me to keep losing weight i would have to stay on my diet and walk everyday for the next few months.

If i had to give any tips on how to lose weight fast i would say to walk and run at the same time. You can walk for 3-5 hours a day and run for an hour. Within the first two weeks you would see your health start to improve. By far walking is one of the best methods of exercise and training. Millions of people are losing weight today because of this amazing form of weight loss. I would refer this exercise to anyone.

Many people don't notice it but they are using the form of walking for exercise everyday. You walk to your car everyday and you walk around the grocery store don't you? Also do not be lazy when walking. If a corner store is right around the corner, why would you grab your keys and drive a car? This is many people are becoming overweight.

Overall walking worked for me and it is the best exercise today. I would recommend this exercise to anyone who is trying to lose weight and trying to get healthier. It changed my life because i lost over 30 pounds and i am feeling better then ever. So get out there and walk your buts off!

      Just take short walks day by day and you'll gain all the confidence you need.

      It would help but walking outside on different terrains would get you more of a workout in my opinion.

      Would using the treadmill for an hour also help?

      Thanks, Once around the block is a great start. you can get your body used to the idea of walking everyday. Once your body adapts you can start walking from 30 minutes to 1 hour everyday. Hope you start walking soon!

      Great hub.. now I can start to walk MORE. My around the block once is not enough although it is a beginning. Right?

      Those pounds you gained won't have any competition on you and you will lose them quickly. I agree that no one would want to walk in snow and that's why i am lucky i live in Miami.

      Thanks, I have gained a couple pounds back because of winter, but once spring hits...gone. Love walking, but not in snow and ice.
