How to lose weight by being smart

Updated on March 8, 2012

How to lose weight

Just like everyone else in this world I was obsessed with things like pizza, candy, brownies and different types of junk food. But what you don’t know is that this type of food makes you fat and overweight. So if you want to find out on how to lose weight then I’m going tell you how I did it.

My experience with being overweight

Everyday I would go home and eat a whole pack of cookies in less than an hour. Every time my mom would make food I would secretly throw away all the vegetables and eat the meat that’s unhealthy. I would also never get any type of exercise and I would gain more and more weight every day. In this hub I’m going to show you how I lost 90 pounds in two months. Some people might think that losing weight is easy but you’re wrong.

Losing weight is a difficult task that if you work hard enough you can reach your goal of losing weight. When you’re losing weight you should always set a goal of how much weight you want to lose. My goal was to lose 60 pounds and I lost 90. I passed my goal I reached for something even better and that’s what everyone should do. In my opinion when you’re losing weight you should always try to surpass your goal and your goal should be high. If your goal is to lose 5 pounds in 2 months then you’re just wasting your time when you could be losing over 30 pounds in just 1 month.

How I lost 90 pounds in two months

Alot of people think that f you eat unhealthy food and exercise at the same time then you’ll lose weight. But whoever thinks that is wrong and you should do the complete opposite of this. One of the first and major things you should do lose weight is go on a diet. I didn't want to go on a diet because I was scared I wouldn't be able to eat any good foods in a while. Just like everyone else I’m not a vegetable fan and to me vegetables are nasty except for corn. But even though I didn't like the vegetables I still had to eat anyway if I was going to stick with this diet.

The first day I started my diet I threw away all my things like ice cream, chips and etc. then I went to the store and bought some healthy microwavable meals because I don’t really know how to cook. I also bought plenty of fruits and the difference from vegetables and fruits was I actually love fruits.

I bought things like apples and grapes. Next I went to the vegetable section I bought cold carrots. Went I got home a mad a nice healthy meal and a nice healthy fruit desert. I was actually surprised because the meal was great and I actually loved it. The next step to losing weight was going to the gym everyday or exercising which is very important. The exercising equipment that was most successful for me was the treadmill. Since you’re running on a treadmill, you’re burning fat in all places of your body.

If you don’t like the treadmill then there are many different types of machines to pick from. I worked out every day and at the end of the week everything payed off. I lost 15 pounds in one week and I was shocked and happy that everything worked out for me. There would be times where I go to the store and see a pack of sugary cookies but I can’t buy it because I had to stay dedicated to my diet.

At the end of the month I lost about 60 pounds. But since I was doing it for two months I decided to continue my diet. In month two I had a cookie here and there but I burned those calories off so it was ok. So guys if you’re planning on eating junk while you’re on a diet just eat a little and burn it off at the gym. Every week I lost more and more weight until at the end of the month I lost 90 pounds. When I looked in the mirror I was so slim and my stomach was completely flat like I wanted it to be.

The main keys to losing weight

The main keys to losing are basically exercising and going on a healthy diet. Once you lose a whole bunch of weight you won’t be overweight anymore and you won’t be having a heart attack anytime soon. So thank you for reading how I lost weight and I hope you do the same thing. Also stop being lazy and be active. If a corner store is right around the corner walk there instead of using a car. Remember the car is one of the things that can cause obesity.
