Celebrating Life #3 : Spreading Love
This is the story of Eric Dierker, who was adopted as the youngest of six siblings was the base and always surrounded by love was overwhelming. His mom and dad treated him as special since he had some medical issues since childhood and so he got even more love and attention. As many professionals suggest, our personality basically gets formed by around the age of 6-7 and he believes the same happened with him.
Adoption at that time was often hidden. But his mom and dad went the extra mile and created a “chosen” day for his adoption, which was a reason for parties at home and school. Hence, more affection. He still has fun for his birthday but celebrates December 4th as his chosen day with great aplomb.
Much more in between but we skip up to his four years as a preacher man and a Sunday School teacher. He became a preacher in a missionary church. The main sermons were in Vietnamese and mine was in English for those young ones that needed something in English. The “priest” taught fire and brimstone. So, he suggested that all scripture was love based.
He later started to publish blogs online for those who suggested they would never attend a church. So, the long-standing "Eric’s Sunday Sermons Series" was created for those who were spiritual but not religious. On getting a positive and astounding response he started to dig deep each week into love. He read scripture and philosophy daily, without fall and started creating inciting blogs.
For Eric, his children played a huge role in helping him to spread love. He has raised four of his own and has always been into spending time with children. That explains his series “The Boy Teacher and Father Student”. Over seventy in the series.
Eric has been a trial litigator for about 10 years. Furthermore, he has had a profession of downhill ski racing where he enjoyed river running and that aesthetic feeling left an impact on his life too. He has traveled to over 45 countries and 38 states and that justifies his love for traveling.
Despite watching death so close and going through a relapsed cancer never broke Eric's positive esteem towards life. He fought his battles with the help of Love he experienced throughout his life. He looked for happiness in every possible thing and started spreading it through writing blogs. He promises to continue reflecting love through his write-ups. Eric believes in celebrating life by looking for love everywhere and encourage people to do the same.
